He thinks he knows more about basketball than anyone on this board because he bandwagons Duke

It's pathetic when your program is so shite that you have to bandwagon a team like duke. There are several Bama posters on here who fav basketball team is UK and an Auburn fan who bandwagons UNC.

For thinking the reigning SEC player dorsnt weigh his options on going pro? I said I hope he comes back as he'll help make the SEC more competitive next year.

Not trying to flame or troll or anything...
I am in Afghanistan so I didn't get to see hardly any b-ball at all until the conference tournament and now March Madness. From what I have seen personally of Bobby Portis, I can't help but ask myself over and over, how in the hell did he win the POY award in the conference? He needs to come back for another year.

Because he owned everyone not named Kentucky. He has things to work on, but the last 3 or so games are not how he played all year. Take a look at the Tenn game in the SEC tourney if you want a better idea of what he looked like the majority of the season.

Didn't read entire thread but that is huge!

Ok, in the tournament, Bobby Portis played bad.
His stat line against UNC:
18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals
His stat line against Wofford:
15 points, 13 rebounds
Number of times WCS hit at least 15 points all season: 5
Number of times WCS hit at least 13 rebounds all season: 0
That's why Portis was the SEC player of the year.

Would only make the SEC that much stronger. The SEC will likely be the best conference in the nation next year.

I will hold off on celebrating. Once he cools down and has some time to think it over he might change his mind.
I agree, too much money to pass up. At his level one more year playing is huge. NBA players have just so many years and losing one is throwing money away.
Pulling for Hog fans to get him back but who ever is advising him should encourage him to enter the NBA draft.
LSU will lose Mickey to the draft and will hurt quite a lot.

WCS>>>Portis. At least by end of season. Of course the only two games I REALLY watched him were the two we played. Right now, I'd take both of UK big men over Portis if I were an NBA team. However, I think Portis has more upside. He's still filling out and developing. I don't think his coordination and skills have quit caught up with his length yet.

No shite I would take those big men over Ports. He is late first rounder. Quals is probley a top 20 guy.

Portis needs to come back. He had good numbers this year but his post season was un-remarkable. Qualls on the other hand is scary good - if he stays you guys will be pretty stout.
