Minus Auburn, they will just get the hell beat out of!

To have a rivalry you have to have a history with a team IMO.

Maybe in 50 years Alabama and A&M will be major rivals, but right now they're just two teams in the same division.

What would be more shocking to find with Paul Finebaum's head - a hair or a thought?

Pollack: "The best rivalry in college football right now is LSU and Alabama"
David Pollack just said this on College Football Live. And in response, Paul Finebaum said that this year it is Alabama and A&M.

JMO - the better rivalry is LSU/A&M

the best game this year will be LSU/Bama

Finebaum also called LSU irrelevant

Finebaum would likely pay Saban to give him a reach- a-round

It's looking like a 3-way rivalry among the Big 3. It will be intriguing.

and earlier in the day he said that we need to keep the 6-1-1 because of rivalries like LSU/FLA.

We have a decades long history with bama, but the longer we stay down, the harder it will be to regain our position as one of the premier teams in the SEC. I believe we now have a coach that can bring us back to the top.

Time will tell, until then, our "rivalry" matters only to the old timers like myself.

Anybody who says that LSU ISN'T a rivalry, is an old fan or is just some holier than thou traditionalist.

You forgot to include the correct answer, "or is just a troll".

From Alabama's Wiki page

One can define rival to be whatever they want given fairly broad constraints:

ri·val - Noun

A person or thing competing with another for the same objective or for superiority in the same field of activity.

It is somewhat entertaining watching Bama fans troll LSU suckers about what constitutes a rivalry.

Basically the Big 6 are all rivals of each other competing for the SECC.

My Uncle went to Tennessee. He's pretty upset about the current state of affairs. The stadium, the way it sits on the water is absolutely stunning.

God bless your Uncle, things have been very bad for a while, but we might be soon witnessing a renaissance of Tennessee football. I hope so anyway.

Nah. LSU fans a little older than me hate TAMU.

Seems like a good time to dust this one off:

You'll learn about how the rivalry started in the early 1900's with an on the field fight between the two fanbases over a bad call. While details on the game were very little, rumor has it that UA alumni/fans beat the shite out of over couple hundred hillbillies. Read about the legendary battles Neyland, and Bryant. Read up please.

Who cares what happened in 1900? UT/Bama doesn't matter.

LSU and Bama are the two biggest rivals, bar none. It really isn't even a discussion.

I personally don't know any UA fan that considers LSU a rival.

They aren't a rival to me. I don't care about LSU one way or the other.

Me either, but apparently constarch thinks we are.

If we should have any third rival at all it would be UF. During the 90's it was slap down-drag out fights for who would win the SECCG, and in 08-09 those SECCG were amazing.

The main issue is the fans that have.....well, their fandom coincided when Saban arrived at LSU/UA. To them we're rivals because their fandom just started a few years ago.

If it was a rivalry you still wouldn't be right. LSU wouldn't take the place of auburn OR tennessee. LSU is not even a rival. It's a big game. There is a difference. Get the hell over it already. Damn.

Biggest rivalry -

2. Bama vs UT

Traditional rivalries, but not that close lately.

Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia is a great 3-way rivalry where even when a team is down, the games are still competitive and emotions run high.
