No. I don’t want OU and Texas with their smelly big 12 drama and bullshite in our conference. Go away and leave us alone.

You're an LSU fan but you voted yes just because you don't like aTm?

Sad

I say yes because if the SEC doesn’t do it, the ACC will. Adding OU and Tx would let the ACC get out of their crappy TV contract, then maybe they can lock in Notre Dame. SEC does this and we are THE superconference.

Also, I’m for anything that might shake-up the SEC enough to eat away at Bama’s dominance.

I'm indifferent. I'd prefer if they didn't but it seems like it needs to happen.

No. For the sake of the overall quality of CFB.

I was on the fence, but watching how much it upsets Texas A&M fans pushed me in the “yes” category.

Agree.

I voted NO specifically because Texas and Oklahoma are schools with numerous elite athletic programs in addition to football.

Seems better for college football and really all sports to have those type schools spread out over multiple conferences than crammed into one unwieldy mega conference.

Voted no. I've always been a Texas fan first, LSU fan second. I worry with both in the same conference it may change that and I don't want to quit pulling for LSU.

Close the poll. We have a game changer here, didn’t even consider this.

I vote no bc in my opinion the unnecessary chaos clearly outweighs the gain/upside. We don’t need them. At all. If someone can make a compelling, convincing case on why it would benefit the SEC and the top schools in the conference specifically to bring them in then please present it. I don’t see it, at all. It’s far from broke, why tamper with a well oiled machine (again) ???

Separate the poll. Most wanted Oklahoma. Many don't want texas. Texas is a horrible cultural fit. Full of liberals. They belong with the Pac 12. The fans are obnoxious. They cry if you do horns down. A&M, Missouri, Nebraska, and Colorado loathe them for a reason. Worst possible conference members. The know how to manipulate a conference. They're drooling at the chance to manipulate the SEC and laugh about it. They always put down the SEC and The South. Always said they were too good for the SEC when A&M left. A&M hicks are a perfect fit for The SEC inbreeds.
The smart move would be to take Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. State has lots of Natties. Their fans are rabid. Oklahoma is going to run into lots of legal problems leaving State behind.
The best part would be giving the horns a massive middle finger by the entire SEC. Split the poll.
Don't forget that A&M brought every SEC school multi millions annually when they came on board. Do you want a few more million for cancer??? Apparently many of you do. Oklahoma yes. horns hell no!

I totally agree with this. I'm fine with Oklahoma. I think they can fit with the conference even if the geography is a bit of a stretch.

You're completely correct about the University of Texas. They have the kind of alumni and fans that look down on the SEC and think the city of Austin is the height of human evolution and progress. It really doesn't fit in well with the rest of the conference. Now that they've basically been boxed into joining the SEC because Oklahoma forced their hand, I'd rather not offer them a life raft.

I'm originally from Tennessee but live in Arizona. I've met SEC fans from other teams and there's an instant sense of camaraderie in that ultimately we have commonalities. Even with Gump fans we get this feeling that we can get along. I don't think that's there with Texas.

Yeah I miss the days when there was strong competition throughout the country and a national title contender or two in each major conference. I'm all for great football in the SEC but it'd be nice to see great football in other conferences as well.

All this consolidation and centralization isn't good for the overall health of the sport.

What happened to the Pac 12 with Texas and Oklahoma? That is where it fell apart but what was the reason? LHN? Yep and that Texas wouldn't drop it. Also some other reason since Texas might want some kind of control with scheduling and/or other things. This right here is big reason why Texas is the problem. If Pac 12 turned them down after Texas refused to remove the LHN and what other possible reason(s) for the fallout with the Pac 12.

One thing I forgot to add that was bad when it comes with scheduling. Texas and others would get the better bowl games and Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa State would get the lower tier bowl games. Then Missouri would also get the worst schedule for time slot. If Texas comes in they would demand better time slots over LSU Auburn Texas A&M and Florida and Possible over Georgia. Same with Oklahoma. This is why they want out of Big 12. But there are so many games and slots for top teams to get the better time slots and T.V. rights. Not worth to bring in two more top teams that want better time slots and T.V. rights. Better what SEC already have. Why change it when it is at it's peak and get some teams to be force at a bad time spot and lesser T.V. to get the audience to watch games. This is another way to bullied their way to get what they want for themselves.
