I thought lsu had , as of today, lost 3 games? And Bama , as of today, lost 2 games.
And Vols have lost 2 games and their qb.
And as of today Bama has a chance(small chance) to play for the NC.

Because they are now a better football team than Tennessee. Don’t you remember Hendon hooker is out for the year?

They would also have been Better on a neutral field.

Qualifying for seccg =/= being chosen for playoff
This just illustrates the hypocrisy of a playoff, which is why I opposed it from before the BCS.
If you want a playoff for the purpose of deciding it on the field, you can't choose the teams to play for it with arbitrary measures. Isn't that what moved the public to demand a playoff in the first place?
If two teams have the same record (especially in this case where both are in the same conference) the head-to-head HAS TO BE the first tie-breaker, both for the SECCG and the playoffs.
Otherwise, why bother playing the games?

LSU wouldn’t be in at 12. Tulane would take that spot I believe as the highest ranked G5

Yes because you are letting 12 games ON THE FIELD determine it. You are arguing to let 1 game do that.

Tennessee got blown the frick out twice. Bama lost 2 close games to good teams.

Tennessee is two plays away from being 8-4. I despise that moronic rebuttal to the Alabama argument.
Tennessee got throttled by South Carolina and beat soundly by Georgia. Bama barely lost on a FG and a two point play. If you cannot recognize the difference it is because you do not want to and it is urea too Al for us to try to rationalize with you.

Bama had close games to this season. They did not play UGA. They had a weak schedule. More importantly, Tennessee.Beat.Alabama

I understand that a blowout loss is NOT the same as a last second loss if you use an ounce of critical thought. .
Not all losses are created equal.
Some are FAR worse than others and that must be acknowledged.
Vols had 2 BAD defeats. That should matter.

14 points is not a bad defeat by a #1 team moron

quote:And yet a team that lost 40-13 is going to the SECCG over an Alabama team that lost 2 games by a total of 4 points. How do you explain that?

Not all championships are determined the same way, but you already knew that.

You're right cuz if we were back to two teams it would be UGA and OSU if Michgan loses. It's all about $$$

The committee understands the misleading nature of that final score.

Power ranking that assumes that Tennessee without Hendon Hooker is worse than Alabama.
By a resume standpoint there's obviously no argument, but rankings aren't pure resume contests.

Others could argue its a bigger joke that the conferences consider a 1 point loss to be the exact same as a 55 point loss.
They arent remotely close to the same if you have the ability to critically analyze the game of football beyond the surface.
The Vols should be punished for their 2 bad losses. All of the polls got that part right.
