Oklahoma got their asses handed to them by Kansas St. 35-7 in the 2003 Big 12 conference championship game. Their next game was the national championship game against LSU.

In the human polls, OU dropped from #1 to #3 with their loss.

Wrong again. The computers were why.

Yet you forgot how the BCS worked.

Everyone knows it should have been LSU vs. USC that year.

Money drives the committee members, not wins and losses.

If TPTB want a certain team in the playoffs, the committee will come up with an excuse to put them in.

Sort of like what you're doing here.

USC was #1 in both the AP and Coaches but the computers loved OU for some reason. Had nothing to do with the Rose Bowl.
Back then, it was 50% polls/50% computers. They changed it starting with the 05 season to 1/3 media poll, 1/3 coaches poll, 1/3 computers.

Uh, huh. And the Rose Bowl wasn't the one holding up the playoff system all these years, either. They don't have any power, amirite?

So your insane conspiracy theory is that the Rose Bowl was secretly paying the multiple computer programmers to alter the algorithms to keep OU #1?

That might be the single dumbest idea I have ever seen in regards to CFB.

Don't be silly. Billion-dollar industries allow their business to run randomly. All of 'em do it. They sit in the corner with their fingers crossed hoping all goes well.

Spoiler Alert: Not everything you don't understand is a conspiracy theory.

So you really do think the Rose Bowl was secretly paying the multiple computer programmers to alter the algorithms to keep OU #1.

What does it really matter? TN is going to a NY6 bowl and probably South Beach. Unlike BAMA who’ll be playing a 11 AM kick on NYE in NOLA.

Yeah but could Tennessee do it again? Probably not.

Anyways, enjoy the Citrus Bowl

They lost 2 VERY close games. Tenn. had their arse whipped 2 times.

Does losing to a team that had their arse whipped 2 times account for anything?
Does losing to a team that lost 40-13 at home to the the team that had their arse whipped 2 times account for anything?

They won 2 VERY close games against 5-7 A&M and a team without its starting QB.

It's a joke that this team is even ranked No 6.
