We got points for that first down? Nah, had to be that beautiful pass from Lee to Toliver, right? The game has changed quite a bit in the last few decades, but you still only score when you get into the endzone, I think.
Um, Florida Field '02..... big fricking yawn. Totally overhyped. Purple porpoise and hanging out in some random frathouse for awhile that day was fun. I guess that didn't count either, because that was another one of UFs "worst teams since ______".
Btw, if we play that game, can I have back the nineties and the series lead from the Gators, cause those were some of our worst teams, evah.

i went in '08. as it has been said, tailgating is very spread out so, you won't have to walk through a hostile area like at lsu or ole miss. i thought it was weird that before the game, there were tons of people just standing around the stadium. they weren't really doing anything, just standing there. don't recall seeing that anywhere else.
we parked downtown and took the shuttle in. that was very convenient and i would definitely do that again.
we didn't get harrassed by anyone. the funniest thing was the moonies outside the stadium. they were singing, dancing and handing out tracts. needless to say, watching them interact with the drunks was quite entertaining.

You missed the point. She was surprised at how dejected our fans were after the fake field goal. That should not have been a surprise. We were in the game (shouldn't have been) and had a chance to win. The fact that is was our worst team in a while should have precluded her from thinking mocking the fans was cool. To her credit, she didn't do it.
You can't have the 90s losses back just like we can't have last year back.

They are weird like Aggies.

You're going to run into dickheads at any away stadium. It's called the student section (and those who graduated within 5 years)
Other than that, everyone will leave you alone.

we went a couple of years ago, not a bad place to be a visiting fan.
Got a lot of "go home inbreeders" comments, which coming from people who look like they just crawled out of the trailer park after a tornado was pretty interesting.
Two things struck me- one was heading to the game the crowd was silent. No cheering, no Go Gators, etc. That was weird. Two was nobody arrived to tailgate early. We got a primo spot next to bathrooms and plenty of shade and we were there only 3 hours before the game. A guy came up to me and said "we tailgate in that spot. been ours for over 10 year." Uhhh, then get there earlier pops.
Overall nice fans, some ahole but nobody can say their team doesn't have that.
I'm all for being civil but why in the hell would you expect opposing fans to keep telling you congrats?

Hope you bought your tickets through UA, because if you end up in the upper deck surrounded by UF fans, you'll get an arse whipping!

To the person who attemped to point out my inaccuracies, the fake field goal resulted in a first down which then led to the touchdown pass. I forgot I had to draw a map and give a play by play of how it exactly went down or you would assume I wouldn't know what I was talking about. Some don't have the ability to infer the obvious. I have seen Gator fans be obnoxious even in defeat. I expected this time to be no different.

UF doesn't have one big spot to tailgate like most schools do. There aren't big tailgating fields or parking lots. Tailgating is spread throughout campus, some areas are more die-hard then others. You can walk all over campus and find people tailgating.
I have never walked to the stadium where people aren't doing Orange and Blue, or Two Bits or Its Great to be a Florida Gator. But it probably depends on where you are walking from.

Will my girlfriend feel uncomfortable walking around?
Yes, because she will realize after leaving the country of bama for the first time that most men don't have guts by the age of 17. She will most likely wish she was staying and you were leaving.
