Lol, you know that certain teams get ranked in order to create a scenario/argument you are presenting, don't fall for it.
Beating a "ranked" team that's #21, 24 or even 17 isn't exactly a hill to die on. They prop up the SEC to make it look better all the time, and have been doing it for years.
Many here have advocated for no rankings at all until early October, when things are a bit clearer.

Agree but its now mid Nov and ranks are mostly stabilized even if some are wrong by a few spots its not moving a lot unless we have big upsets

One of the most interesting scenarios right now is what happens if A&M goes 12-0 and loses the SEC champ game. Would the committee drop us out of the top 4?
If so, it massively damages championship games.

You post a bunch of BS and rightfully catch some push back and now you're bleeding over this thread like a girl. Na you dont think about us at all !!!

Hitting you with some basic facts isn't bleeding but whatever bro. I'm happy for you that Tech got lucky and found a billionaire to try and keep you competitive in whatever is left of the Big 12. I had basically forgotten you guys were still playing football the last few years, Tech became really uninteresting ever since the Pirate left.
Like I said, lots of friends and family who went to Tech and they are some good folks unlike yourself. I did hear something about your tortilla throwing being banned, so T&P on that. Anyway, how about you go back to whatever is the Big 12 Board, this is the grownup table.

Interesting question. And if they did it would tarnish conf CCG for all conferences.
At some point a team might sit players for the conf title game. That way they would be fresher for playoffs. Because even if you play starters you can still lose and then if dropped out of first round bye your turnaround is faster. Is it better to give up a potential win and rest or fight hard and possibly risk injuries and a loss? I don’t have the answer.
Another scenario. Lets say going into your last week SEC reg game you are assured a slot in conf championship game. Do you rest starters then?

I will say I think TT is a true threat in the playoff. No one will just line up and be able to run on that defense. You will have to have a good passing game.
Did you also bet on TCU against UGA back in 22?

There’s nobody in America who really thought TCU had a chance in that game

If Ohio State, Indiana, and A&M go into conference championship weekend undefeated, they will all stay in the top 3 regardless if they lose or not.
The only movement I can see is Texas Tech taking #4 Georgia’s spot if they win the Big 12 and finish 12-1.

I took TCU against MI who won the playoff the next season with most of those same players.

Maybe but I hope we stay right at #5 despite winning the CCG.

The how many of these teams won against "currently ranked teams" is total bullshite in my estimation. We have all seen the complete idiocy of the bias in rankings this year. It keeps getting worse with the AP who live in yesteryear. Coaches poll done by grad assistants that watched a couple of highlights. CFP who is completely full of shite.
Expand the playoffs even further if you truly want the best team to win.

How did your team get the easiest schedule in the SEC in decades.? You played the bottom half.

It can help or it can hurt. A&M would still be in the playoffs just like Texas was last year.
It would be far from the first time a ccg altered the national championship picture. It's been a thing since at least 2003 when KSU upset Oklahoma. (FWIW the true beneficiary in 2003 was Southern California since LSU would have made it to the BCS championship game anyway and the AP doesn't give them a title in that outcome)
Anyway I do think 9 conference games is a disadvantage given the number of good SEC teams but given the unequal scheduling don't see a better option than a conference championship game.
