I would say the same thing about LSU because of their recruiting success and style of play. LSU does not have any one player who the season hunges upon right now.

So you're talking about a solid running attack? I believe the 1st LSU fan that responded mentioned an experienced OL. That's rational thought. They know their RB isn't shite without lanes to run through.

We're pretty stacked at every position, no injuries would hurt us.

Isn't that dude a horrible racist with multiple race-related incidents?

The only rumor was the altercation between him and Reuben Foster, but that rumor was Reuben was recruiting for Alabama on a visit and Dismukes called him out. So good for Reese.

Other than that, I doubt white guy on a predominantly black team can get away with being racist

My point is that teams who recruit very well every year and who do not need their QB to be a Heisman contender in order to win rarely have one player that would completely derail a season due to injury. Would Bama or LSU losing a starting lineman hurt? Sure. Would it definitely result in more losses. Not likely. Losing multiple players is where things start to add up and turn into disaster. See Florida last year.

Like I said, I would go with Amari Cooper right now if I had to, but I believe Chris Black or Robert Foster would be a very good replacement that could keep the offense working well enough to win.

Riley Cooper would probably disagree with you.

So because Foster was recruiting for Alabama he deserved to be called a racial slur by Dismukes?

The story was spread by former AU fullback Heath Evans on a radio show. He said that several players told him that Dismukes called Foster racial slurs and that was the reason Foster did not go to AU. Good for Foster for standing up to Dismukes and refusing to play at a place where that sort of thing is tolerated.

I'm kind of worried we already lost him. Thomas at DT was a big loss IMO. Not that he was dominate but he did have experience at a very young position for us.

CB is our thinnest position by far, but we are so inexperienced at that position that I could not tell you who would be the biggest loss. Either way we likely will have 2 true freshman getting significant playing time.

So he went to Alabama to escape the racism

Well his career is in broadcasting now, so I question the motives behind that.

Yep, it wasn't Trooper getting the axe, but a random act of racism by a white guy surrounded by a bunch of black guys.

I was being sarcastic to point out the ridiculousness of the poster who said "good for him" in reference to Dismukes using racial slurs at Foster due to Foster recruiting for Bama. I don't actually think AU football supports racism.

We are currently ranked #2 in the nation and are the overwhelming media favorite to win the SEC?

Sounds a lot like last year.

Nowhere in this thread have I said that Alabama "will" win championships. I have said they "can" which should be obvious to anyone. I don't give a shite about media hype. I simply referenced it to show the OP that Alabama is a contender. The idiot OP thought I was crazy for even considering Bama to be a contender.

Not often I agree with a Bama fan, but there's been a few rational choices. Strong running games ease injury loses. And excluding all the media hype, if I had to personally choose the team in the SEC who has the most reasonable chance to win the NC next year, hands down its Bama. All you auburn fans can say what you'd like, but the miracles y'all received last year from the football gods (Georgia and Bama game) won't happen this year. Plus lsu is gonna whoop that arse again this year, it really is a nice trend.

Well Arie Kouandjio would be a good place to start for more rational fans, I would think. A senior with a lot of game experience on an o-line lacking in said experience, that can also play in multiple spots.

Most fans are kinda hoping he doesn't start. Try again.

For Florida there are three guys that must stay healthy. Jeff Driskel, VH3, and Dante Fowler.

Pretty much everyone else at this point is replaceable.

Since there is such an uproar about it, I'll comment on Alabama. I think everyone horrendously overlooks a great back like TJ Yeldon. I know he is shite on all the time on these boards, and I know Alabama has good back ups, but honestly, losing a guy like Yeldon would be huge IMO. The other guy, in what looks to be a really weak secondary, would be Collins. Losing either would be really bad, by Bama standards.
