Have you not figured out that you can't kill Phil Fulmer?

He has had years to build up dirt on Bama...

Apparently he hasn't found any.

People in here have no idea what happened today. The Haslam faction was severely wounded today and UT needed that to happen above ALL. Even above hiring a coach because until they're on the mat (like they are now) NO ONE will succeed at UT. If this coup means 4 years of a mediocre coach but we're free of their death grip - it's a price every one of us will pay.

What Clay Travis didn't tell you is that the Haslams were going to make Bill UT President when he stopped playing TN Gov. This has slowed that plan and had it gone through they would've had a stranglehold that no one was overturning.

This is bigger than just UT football despite UT football being the main battleground.

If the Haslams were as powerful as you all pretend, you wouldn’t have been able to depose them so easily.

Easily? Took years and it's rather a coincidence that the Pilot scandal is really taking off. frick the Haslams. It's a new day.

It’s not. Tennessee’s issues are not primarily because of the Haslams. The only thing that will change is who gets blamed.

Hope Fulmer understands his title of "AD" is not an acronym for "Another Donut".

Why do bammers blame Phil when Spurrier is the one that actually turned them in?

Exactly. We've been dealing with them for years but a perfect storm just happened: Bill is disliked and term-limited as governor (before that he was Mayor of Haslamabad, I mean Knoxville), Jimmy is dealing with the Feds, Big Jim has gotten to damned old to fight all that much AND Sen. Bob Corker (who lived with the Haslams, was a frat bro. and so on) and besties with Bill is retiring from the Senate while being on the outs with the POTUS. Pilot was just sold to Warren Buffett opening a large opportunity in the state as well.

Nothing 'easy' about getting them to loosen their grip. Jimmy just got busted calling Blackburn (a gubernatorial candidate) and trying to make sure she wouldn't speak out -- THIS after Gov. Haslam denied they were involved in the hiring process.

Ergen, Thunder Thorton, Anderson, and others had more money but the Haslams have had all the power UNTIL now.
