And now their AD is proven snitch.

Fulmer is the Littlefinger of UT. Burn it all down so he can rule over the ashes.

If it's truly King Phillip I, all of this is completely worth it. That will mean the House of Haslam no longer controls the throne.

Leach is a painful battle to lose but winning the war is worth it.

Shite done got real.

Possible side effect maneuver: Washington State President likes Currie. Leach is supposed to have some say in choosing their new AD. I suspect Currie and Leach made a "scratch my back snd I'll scratch yours pact" in LA yesterday. Currie becomes WSU AD, Leach gets fat new contract.

Big questions: Peyton sided with Haslam, without caring how it hurt UT, in exchange for Haslam promising to help the Mannings get an NFL franchise. What's next for Peyton? How do Vol's fans feel about their beloved Peyton betraying UT for the sake of his own greedy self interests?

What a shitshow! Yet I can't look away.

This is more than just Phil taking over. This is a direct shot at the Haslams. Jimmy Truckstop tried to get Currie's assistant in and it got DENIED

quote:

The other choice considered to replace Currie per people on campus was Reid Sigmon, Currie’s No. 2 and chief lieutenant. Multiple sources said that Sigmon was backed by Jimmy Haslam while Fulmer possessed resounding support among other constituencies, including boosters John ‘Thunder’ Thornton and Charlie Anderson.

Some national reports are indicating Fulmer is in this position after refusing to help the UT search, and actively trying to sabotage it, but sources indicate to me that Fulmer only finds himself in this spot after Currie’s “lone wolf” approach and refusal to tap into Fulmer’s assistance during the search beyond some phone calls.

I would say that was a well orchestrated coup, but there is way too much carnage, entrails and gore.

Oh, so the problem wasn't that it was a massive clusterfrick of toxic influence and dysfuntion. No no, the problem was that the one guy whose job it was to make the hire tried to make the hire by himself.

Baghdad Bob was better at his job than the dick-sucking Tennessee beat writers.

ahh, this Prof guy always tries to put the prettiest orange spin he can on things and this marathon disaster has him working overtime. Problem is that his shade or orange is ugly as all hell in the best of times, and I don't think we've ever seen as dysfunctional a fiasco in college football as what is going on now, not even the DuBose or Mike Price parties at Alabama.

Lmao.

Lemme get this straight. Currie wants to hire a guy, fans revolt over some he said she said bullshite, Currie goes after a better guy and get fired.
Fulmer gets AD.

He's doing the exact same thing he did to Majors lol. A sneaky little snake.

Tennessee fans, no offense or anything, but your gonna get exactly what you deserve. Your administration is ran by a bunch of morons.

No matter who is reporting it, it seems the Haslam - Currie alliance vs Everyone else is real. Is it more likley that Fulmer 'sabotaged' Currie to turn everyone else on him or that everyone else was tired of Haslam & Currie, thus turning to Fulmer? It is pretty obvious which is most likely correct.

You act like those two options are mutually exclusive.
