At this point the situation is completely fricked regardless of whether or not anything actually happened. If all of it is true, hes gone and you're back to square one, if all of it is BS, the relationship between the coach and the boosters and the school is fricked because they hung him out to dry and it'll just be a lame duck situation.
Oof, been there done that Aubies, bad place to be as a fan. Especially in football which typically takes longer to correct course than basketball. Yall are staring down another 3-4 years of rebuilding, best case.

I hope this blows up in his face and ends his “career”
I thought he was a long time Auburn guy, what am I missing?

Wasn't there a story that napier wouldn't take the job because auburn wouldn't let him hire his own staff?
Didn't harsin basically hire his own staff?

Do you really think anything will change at AU? Are y’all really gonna tell Mr Yellowwood and his buddies to take a hike and take their wallets with them? I doubt that. AU has been run by big time donors for decades and nothing is going to change except for the latest HC.

Only way they change is with a Saban type hire who comes in and wins a lot of games and shuts them up.
That’s not happening.

What’s his parole date? AU might snag him if they can outbid A&M

Strange. He looks like the typical AU fan

Good news Auburn fans. Chad Morris is available. That’s the tier coach y’all are going to have to hire after this fiasco.

That was one of Saban's conditions, he alone would run the football program, no interference.

It was the perfect storm. If not for the cluster hires before him, I am not sure if even he would have had the leverage to demand it before he took the position.
But it sure paid dividends.

I tend to believe that Napier wanted total control of the football program, and they wouldn't put that in writing, so he turned AU's offer down. Pretty much why Kirby turned us down in 2012.
One would hope that our GOB PTB would figure out they aren't really capable of coaching football and actually turn things over to someone who knows what they're doing. But we're Auburn, after all.
