Exactly. Ppl acting like he can’t replace Fromm’s production have seemingly forgot Fromm never put up crazy numbers. If Kirby hands the keys to Monken and doesn’t interfere then the offense should be remarkably better.

Simply replacing Fromm's numbers leave UGA in the same position it's been in since 2017, on the outside looking in.

This is what UGA fans seem to not get. Most of you seem to be banking everything on the defense holding most opponents to single digits.

How was UGA on the outside looking in, in 2017? UGA only has to average more than 30 a game for the offense to improve. I don’t expect a Brady LSU turnaround, but I do expect more than 30 a game.

Of the SEC teams on UGA’s regular season schedule next season, only 1 (Auburn) had a 2019 defense that even resembles what could be called dominant. 2 more (Florida and Alabama) have top 5-10 potential. The rest are somewhere between average and mediocre.

Florida, Alabama and Missouri all had better scoring defenses than Auburn.

PFF didn’t think it was mediocre. He did well until the only other good players Wake had got injured.

Yeah well PFF also think Kellen Mond is one of the 10 best returning players in the SEC.

Yeah man. Because the UGA fans acting like Newman is their ticket to the NC aren't pushing a narrative at all.

Not necessarily. 2019 was a relative outlier in terms of the offensive output and exceptional quarterback play of teams in the playoff.

Only OSU and Clemson return that level of talent at QB.

We aren’t. If we get to the NC it will be because of our defense. That doesn’t mean Newman can suck, but he certainly doesn’t have to be Joe Burrow.

Jamie Newman and Mond being on this list immediately invalidates it. They are both trash.

This statement ties into what I said about UGA fans banking on the defense:

We are absolutely banking on the defense to be elite. Yes, the offense also needs to be better.

So 31 points a game would be an improvement, right? Not really a high bar.

You literally just said UGA only needs 30 PPG to improve on offense. Anything else you post is going to be ignored.

So why did you set the bar at only 30?

I'll take Auburn 2019 all day over any of them. Especially Florida and Missouri.
