What? No LSU players?
Garbage list.
Garbage list.

And maybe I am digging into it too much here, but for DBs, do they determine what they think should or shouldn't have been called pass interference, or is it results based?
Say Greedy covers a guy textbook coverage and gets called for a phantom PI vs him holding a WR and not getting called. How are those graded? Cause the results are the opposite of how the DB actually played, if that makes sense.

Their signature stats or whatever they call them are great. The grading system is trash.

Title should read PFF Top-Graded Players vs FCS and G5 opponents.....
Arkansas has played Auburn and A&M this year already... those aren't FCS or G5 opponents.

I mean, its like Greedy Williams is a top 10 NFL pick next year not on the list, because he is that good he is left alone most of the game.
Those players are certainly good, but for sure Grant Delpit is fricking letting is sack hang this year. Dude will for sure be 1st round top 15 next year. Dude is THAT good.
Its all good. The pros know who we have at each level.

Does PFF compensate for strength of schedule? You know since Bama hasnt played a half decent team all season...

Not being a prick but has Delpits outstanding plays been on special teams or have most of them come from the safety position? Maybe that’s why he didn’t make the list.

Do you feel like a few plays really skew their results/grades? You can get a +-2.0 on a play. That is a pretty strong variance.
Or is it really about consistency and not screwing up that sorts these out?
I honestly don't know. Certainly don't endorse all of it, just find them interesting.

Not being a prick, but do you even watch football?

How can there seriously be an Armon Watts and an Armani Watts at the same time in the SEC?
The same way we had a Jalen Hurd and a Jalen Hurts.

I totally agree. Sometimes I don't get their grades at all.
For instance, Alex Hornibrook is their #5 national QB. Similarly, I've watched Delpit and he seems to be in on every play.
But it's interesting nontheless.
I am usually not too high on these lists because there are more worthy players than the spaces on the list. Also, most people dont get to see all the players.
I would just say that Devin White would not be on the list because his numbers are not what they were last season... why, because he has a lot of help in Jacob Phillips next to him. He still would be my first pick if I was making up a team. He is that guy that pulls LSU's wagon.
Delpit is playing as good or better than any safety I have seen this season. He is truly having that breakout year.

Oh you know what his point is.
Two Alabama players on the list automatically means the list is crap.

Doing some reading and it seems to emphasize 2 things.
1) consistency and not taking plays off. The reality is that fewer snaps could help this score versus someone who is on the field for 60 snaps. It is hard to go 100% for 4 quarters without a break.
2) havoc plays. Again, fewer snaps may make this a higher percentage of plays.
This is a per play score. Being tired in the 4th quarter will have a negative effect.

Josh Allen is a beast! Best player on the list
