Words cannot describe how excited I am for this defense.

Yea that group has the makings of an elite group with the talent, experience and depth coming back - plus some elite freshmen who can be plugged into specific spots.

how can Alabama only be returning less than half of their run blocking and pass blocking snaps when they are returning four of five starters?

Florida is similar I think.

I'm not sure - and they don't explain it very well.

It's an interesting stat and I posted Steele's returning production numbers in 2018 for LSU. We were 112th in CFB and 13th in the SEC. That made the 2018 #6 final ranking in the AP even more impressive.

This is why (along with schedule) that I think LSU likely finishes around 10-2 or 9-3 regular season in 2020. The returning snaps/production numbers will reverse in 2021 and I expect LSU to be right back in the CFP mix.

The good news is that Arkansas returns a lot of experience this year. The bad news is that its all bad experiences.

How much analysis has been done re: returning starters and how much better/worse you are the next season?

Feel like the top schools lose more production annually but the new starters are just as good the next season because they had a year to "season" themselves and get better
