it' not even like he's cheating or breaking NCAA laws. he lied to his boss about who he was porking. i don't give a damn. i just don't. i know there are legal ramifications and all but I mean, my give a shite o meter is about at negative 5.

No one said you did, chieftrix. I was simply pointing out why it is irrelevant what you think about what he did and that any decision that will be made, will be made based on calculus completely separate from how DC feels about the loathsomeness of what BP did. I, frankly, don't care what you may or may not be arguing, just making my point.

you don't think les has a piece on the side sleeping with that tashwawn prince look a like every day you are kidding yourself. he just has not got caught.
in 2010, you had urban, saban, kiffin, nutt, all in the SEC that's 1/3rd of the SEC at that time with cheating coaches yet we are supposed to get up and arms when ours pokes an employee? give me a fvcking break.
you can get off the rainbow farting high horse.
I'M not going to say i like what he did or approve of it but given his track record at Arkansas he deserves and has earned another shot.

Why do any of you care? It doesn't affect your school or the "face of your program".

Do you realize how difficult it would be for him to hide that from the community? I'm still amazed Petrino was able to keep it under wraps in your backwards state.

The wit, is, too, much. You, are, hilarious.

I don't understand why we should give a shite, frankly. He's not my dad, bf, spouse, friend, pastor....he's a football coach for my school.
It's not the moral question of whether cheating is bad or not. It's the question of his responsibility to his employer (the University of Arkansas) and how he may have failed in that respect with the coverup, inappropriate workplace relationship, etc.
It's not that he got caught with a random bimbo and fessed up... it's that he was screwing another UArk employee's fiance that he unethically hired to a position and attempted to lie to his boss and the fans about it.

From a university perspective, this is the issue. So this little thing is kind of important. Your university not having the willpower to make the change is an indictment against the university.

Can you say misdemeanor?

My coach can frick who he wants without remorse as long as he is winning games. My moral compass is unaffected by what petrino decides to do with his personal life.

I care because it is a fascinating drama. The naïveté that a decision comes down to whether or not one "cares" that he slept around, seems like a pretty shallow view of the situation. I like to make my point on a message board about it. Looks like you do to. So easy there, trigger.

Really, I think what he did was low and I probably wouldn't be his friend in real life and probably wouldn't invite him to Sunday dinner....but he can coach the Razorbacks and I won't bat an eye.

Definitely will have to bump this thread if a scandal comes out at another SEC school thats winning a lot of games and see the reaction.

JJ was never and will never be the face of LSU. Les Miles is the face of LSU. Speaking of JJ, he lost half his senior season to a misdemeanor. Is it really LSU's fault that a Grand Jury didn't find him guilty of a felony? For reals?
