Imagine being from a race so insecure you have to shoehorn yourself into every era, time period, and civilization for validation.

re: FAA Shuts Down El Paso for 10 Days. Update: Rescinded
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 2/11/26 at 7:33 am to Lsut81
The tough thing about this closure is El Paso is not really near any other large cities. It's not like closing a major airport on the east coast, where you might be 90 miles from Baltimore, DC, Philly or NYC. The nearest big city from El Paso is ABQ or Phoenix, which are both hundreds of miles away.

Cool charts, thank you for sharing. I was wondering why some of the WRs had slower top speeds but higher percentages.

Black people are OBSESSED with the visible demonstration of wealth. Especially when it's new or belonging to the tax payer.

Her kid's name is Braison. Not to sidetrack this thread but names like this are the downfall of America. Everybody's kid has to be special and unique. We can't be John or Frank or Robert or William or David anymore. frick that fatass.
re: When Did The Phenomenon of Democrats Calling Republicans "Nazis" Begin?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 2/3/26 at 6:22 pm to Harry Caray
Why is it when 100 idiots fly a Nazi flag suddenly the entire Republican party is Nazi. But when tens of thousands of liberals join antifa and advocate communism, the entire Democrat party isn't painted with the same brush?
re: How would Bird fare today?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 2/3/26 at 7:16 am to prplhze2000
As much as I love Bird, he would not do as well in today's game. He acknowledged as much, saying multiple times in various documentaries that, starting in the late 80s, a new generation of different athletes were entering the game. He stated that by the early 90s they would be peaking at that he "needed to get out of the NBA then", and it wasn't just due to his ailing back.
I think he's still have a role as a passing big man with a great 3 point shot but he wouldn't be averaging 25+ ppg.
ETA: In no way does this detract from his legacy. In the same way an offensive lineman in the 70s wouldn't match up with his 2026 counterpart, the game has just changed with diet, strength training and technology.

re: Are German cars worth the maintenance headaches and associated costs?
Posted by ClientNumber9 on 1/30/26 at 2:24 pm to VolsOut4Harambe
I have a 2022 Audi S4 that's been completely maintenance free (knocking hard on wood right now) and it's such a great little car. It's a lot faster than people realize, handles great and the all wheel drive pushes the acceleration off the line. Launch mode is a lot of fun.
It's got almost 60K miles and it's running as well as it was when I drove it off the lot.

Not forgiving criminal actions and they should be prosecuted, but I don't understand how people fall for this kind of stuff. It's not like they forged an IRS letterhead or faked law enforcement credentials and showed up at your house in suits. How could a 65-year-old person believe that law enforcement would direct you to buy gold and hand it over to a courier to avoid prosecution for a criminal act you didn't commit?
