So Arch struggles against San Jose and UTEP but is gonna dominate OU?

Wisner and Baxter have been hurt all year

He threw for 295 yards and 4 passing TDs. Ran for another.

You call that struggling?

How do Texas fans think they will score against OU?

Knowing Arch, mostly by moving down the field in 30-40 yard chunks.

Arch struggled against UTEP. Period.

You've seen no tapes obviously.

We've been saving the wishbone package for the OU game.

Wisner & Baxter should both be back for OU. Wisner could have played if needed the last game.

As for an honest answer. Hopefully, good Arch shows up and we can move the ball. We don't have to score a lot, but we most likely need at least 20 points. Having Baxter and Wisner would really help our running game though.

So 10 straight incompletions and booed off the field against UTEP is good?

I'll take heat here but Wisner has never done anything to wow me. I would be starting Baxter over him.

And I really like that James Simon.

That is why we're gonna run the bone. Don't have to throw much out of that package.

You should rewatch the OU game or at least the highlights.

Quinn missed some easy throws in this game.

That was 13 minutes well spent. I should pump the brakes on my Wisner comment, he put in good work that day. I also thought Jayden Blue should have been a mega star, but maybe he will end up that way someday.

Watching this clip reminds me of how many guys we actually lost.

John Mateer is a mobile QB with play-making abilities out of the pocket. He has hit on his share of deep throws. Michael Hawkins is a less polished version of this description.

I don't see how it matters for Pete Kwiakowski, the Texas DC. You prepare much the same for both quarterbacks IMO.

Agree with you but Mike Hawkins is one of the fastest guys on the team. You have to play him a bit differently than Mateer in terms of your second level guys. Mateer is way more physical and has a bit more shake.

Unfortunately for us... Texas has a guy in the middle that can handle both types of athletes.

Blue has elite speed and good wiggle. His problem was ball security. If he can fix that, he should stick in the league for a while, if nothing else, as a return guy and 3rd down back. Great hands too.

We lost a lot on both sides, but I think the D still has a shite ton of playmakers. Losing Golden, Bond, Blue & Bolden definitely hurt. Bond was really good before he got hurt in that game. I think Endries can replace Helm, or at least I am hopeful.

We lack home run hitters, that's the biggest difference.

you keep moving the goalposts because you got it wrong the first time

I for one hope y’all (yes, “y’all”; I have no idea why you keep hiding behind an LSU logo) play Mateer. When Texas wins we won’t hear whiny excuses all offseason from Oklahoma fans

Did a search using thread title, came up with this. Seems a little different than what OP heard.

This is more realistic. No way he is back in two weeks.

Won't matter. Our defense will stifle him.

Our offense is the problem.
