Your cope is “lane is building the program” when he has never done that. He has a completely new team every season. But whatever helps you feel better about getting humiliated by ole Miss and Kentucky with 3 more likely losses on your schedule.

I’m sure your athletic program is $30M in the red this year to get humiliated by Ole Miss.

That's one of the reasons he left Ole Miss.

You should have a lot of draft picks when you're a transfer heavy team because you're bringing in a ton of one year rentals.

You had 8 draft picks, IIRC, Penn State had 8 this year and 2025 Penn State wasn't a great roster. Heck, A&M had 10 and their roster was good but not great.

Yeah but we were good. Here is data if you prefer that.

PPG: 38.6 (3rd in the nation)
OPPG: 14.4 (2nd in the nation)

Poor Coaching Decisions:
- Starting a RB that averaged 3.2 ypc in conference play over the guy that we paid a ton of money to keep and let Quinshon Judkins walk for
- Starting a 170 pound WR at RB for his first career start at RB against Florida at Florida. We lost. He averaged 2.5 ypc for 27 yards. That game we also gave our DT 6 carries and Bentley 0. The following week we started Bentley for the first time that season and he rushed 20 times for 136 yards. We also brought Bentley in the second half against LSU and he rushed 11 times for 107 yards and a TD and sparked our offense.

I'm glad you like your head coach. Bentley had 0 carries twice in his Ole Miss career (even when he was third on the depth). They were in 2024 when he was supposed to be our feature back. Guess which games. Kentucky and Florida. It would have probably been 0 against LSU too if Parrish didn't get hurt.

All of this back and forth is ridiculous.

My take on Golding is this:

- He has done well so far. This was the best case scenario to this point.
- Florida was a shite show that never should have happened
- He seems to be learning from his mistakes
- His recruiting is an upgrade
- He needs to hire Dave Aranda as DC after Baylor fires him
- Yet to be determined how good he is post Chambliss

Verdict: Wait and see

You didn't have the depth needed to be a real contender, much like LSU this year. That's why you weren't a top 5 roster.

As for the criticism of Lane's decisions, that's fair. But y'all sure were anxious to keep him for some reason.

I agree, you can't make any judgements on Golding this year, good or bad.

As for Lane, I think he's a good coach but likely a bit overrated based on Ole Miss generally playing weak schedules and Trinidad.

To lose to Ole Miss in the most humiliating game of his lifetime?

If you want a real answer, a lot of it was the desire for OM to experience playoffs and it seemed Lane had learned from his 2024 mistakes. Lane is a good coach but no one can deny the fact he wasted his best team ever in 2024 and his best shot at a natty. That's including this past team.

That team would have never won the natty, they didn't have the depth.

He wouldn't have won the natty last year either, the defense wasn't good enough.

No coach has more top 25 wins in their first 9 games as head coach in the history of college football. Meanwhile lane is losing to Kentucky and Ole Miss in year 18 and you fagggots are still hyping him.

At RB, sure. Everywhere else we were loaded. That's what made this team so great. We lost a WR averaging 130 yards (more like 160 if you take out the games he only played a series) ypg for half the season and didn't miss a beat. Entire defense was stacked on the 2-deep.

No one expected you to be levelheaded and logical about any of this, ManBear.

I just think both LSU and Mississippi should be thankful that they don't have DeBoer.

Let's be honest. The reason why Lane left was because he wanted a bigger and more flashy stage. He wanted the big and impressive stadium and the larger fanbase. He wanted to be in charge of a state's only real program. He wanted to move out of small town life and into more of a star-power role. Some of this is tied to football but most of it is just the publicity aspect of it all. His primary goal is to grow the Kiffin brand. He thought LSU was a better place at which to do that. I don't fault him for his personal choices. I do fault him for trying to tear down Ole Miss in the process. All of this is now in the past. The man has nothing to do with the Ole Miss program. He is LSU's man. We are happy with where Golding has put us to this point. We are excited about the future. All of this can be true at the same time. LSU can be happy and we can be happy. I'm not sure why that is such a hard thing to grasp.

You just hate reality, you always have.

Remember when everyone told you Lane was leaving and you argued up and down that he wasn't?

Wild statement.

DL - Kam Franklin (5 TFL, 2.5 sacks), Zxavian Harris (32 tackles, 4.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks), Akelo Stone, Jam Brown
LB - TJ Dudley (76 tackles, 4.5 TFL, 2 Sacks), Khari Coleman (45 tackles)
Chris Graves (Mizzous CB1), Brandon Turnage
SS - Yam Banks, Louis Moore (went back to Indiana to start at Safety and win the natty the following year)

I agree with pretty much all of this. He’s by no means a terrible coach I do believe he will have some success at OM moving forward. The ceiling is what’s TBD.
I’d want to see him keep at least some of the offensive success next year and be able to evaluate/recruit a QB on his own. He also needs to develop a cohesive defensive unit instead of a bunch of individuals. He probably needs to simplify his defense a bit but all of that is admittedly hard in the new era of CFB.

The reason why Lane left is because he is a narcissist and he is self serving and lsu promised to stroke lanes ego and serve lane. They have elevated this fraud above their own brand.

Every time I see him and his staff and his players I just see a group of people who care nothing for each other. All there to serve themselves.

It’s a soulless program. Satan’s favorite team.
