Sounds like you're not an all-time power then.

Watching a 3-7 regular season team calling out a 3-7 regular season team is cute.

One of those calls themselves a perennial power despite being I think 0-37 against top 10 teams over the past dozen seasons

The other has a decent coach and can compete against good teams

Where has anyone stated that Tennessee is a "perennial power?" Tennessee also fired its coach for accruing seven losses last season yet you, a State fan, are excited for the future after losing seven games.

I'm 34 and consider Auburn a rival. I was a wee lad but I remember them ruining our 93 and 94 seasons. And 2001 of course.

The 2002 game is the 2nd best college football I've been to.

Real shame they killed our annual game.

Yeah, only UF fans I could rationally picture not seeing Auburn as a legit rival are the ones born after 2000.

Oh please... don't get the rest of the conference started about how delusional you Vol fans are.

My question still stands; where has anyone stated that Tennessee is a "perennial power?"

Sure can- we're trouble every year for LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M, and always enjoy pounding lessers as of late like Arkansas.

That's what they've been. Do you read much? Google Neyland. Miss State has never won anything, anytime, anywhere.

Is this where all the false bravado is coming from? Mike Leech? 3-7 is 3-7 and Leech just put himself in the toughest division in college football.

It's called his first year in the conference.

Remember Saban's first year?

I can infer such when you predicted Tennessee would go 10-2 this year.

Lol The pirate isn’t trouble for anyone.

Also Sam is 1-0 against State (lesser program). We finally have a good AD that made a good hire.

State won’t beat us for a while.

Your athletics and college town are straight trash homie

Ironic coming from a fan of a team who is sitting at .500 in their permanent cross division matchup with Kentucky.

Frankly, the west is not the east, nor is it Pullman Washington. Leech better figure out how to run the ball. Being one-dimensional in this league is suicidal.

Wow, that's an astute observation. I'm not sure how to respond to that.

Coming from a fan who just compared Miss State's football program to Tennessee.

But Tennessee's downfall kind of does.

I remember when people said Alabama was finished. I remember when people said we would never be a top program again. I remember when we were the punchline. I hate UT, but they have a lot of pride and history when it comes to football. They are not finished. They'll eventually fix it and get it right. When they do, I'll want to stomp their hillbilly asses all the more.
