Nice melt. Auburn fans seen to be the most melodramatic so far over a rule that is not going to stop their team from paying at exactly the same pace as before. I do understand your worry that your system will fall apart though, since it does not rely on having better players who block better or run better routes etc... Pretty sad. And it is going to pass. It's already out of the committee, and the review board does not look at issues of competitiveness or things like that, only on how a rule will negatively affect player safety or if there will be an economic impact. Since neither of those are the case it will go through.

Saban and Bret can start the NHUNH League, it could consist of the following teams:

Bama
Arkansas
Air Force
So Utah
UL-Monroe
Western Illinois
Boston College
So Fla
Central Michigan
Georgia St
Texas St.

That way Saban can get his Dynasty, Bret can keep his job and the rest of the country can enjoy football. They can have a contract with ESPN Classic and show live games between LSU and Bama in 2011 (first game), Auburn vs Miss ST in 2008, Illinois vs Wisc in 1995 and the exciting Bama vs ND in 2012. This way everybody will be happy.

What does that have to with already winning 3 in 4 years? Sounds like a dynasty to me,

Who would be the Commissioner for this league ? They could be already dead, since that matches that style of Football.

Hey, look, Irons Puppet showed up with the daily ITAT talking points.

You people are sheep. Puppet is an apt description for you.

You do not have to be a sheep to realize that Nick looks like a fool trying to backdoor a rule that benefits him the most. I do love how the bammers will defend Nicky regardless how foolish it makes them look. I have read so many comments from coaches all over the country laughing at Nick and Bret, but the bammers still think he is the righteous one on this issue.

If the NCAA allows a rule change because two coaches complain its the perfect time to take our ball and go home. There are plenty of large markets from coast to coast that could establish their own league, pay players, have real playoffs, and allow the rules to stay the same.

Would your school be in?

Ha Ha....he mad. Awwwburn doesn't have the clout to pull away.

Nice melt though...

I love how y'all act like Auburn is nothing, yet they completely wrecked your season and chance at a 3 peat.

The only thing that Bama fans can say are their worn out "little brother" comments. Truth be told, Malzahn is every bit the offensive mastermind as Saban is the defensive.

Saban is pushing rule changes for a reason, and I can assure you, it's not because he isn't worried about Auburn.
