They...

1. Converted a fake punt which lead to a TD
2. blocked a FG for a TD
3. Intercepted Alabama in the End zone
4. Recovered a fumble inside Alabama territory

And still lost the game.

I mean, what else needed to go right for Georgia to win? In what way did Alabama need to gift them more points? If I had said before the game that those 4 things would happen, would you have predicted an UGA loss?

I think Georgia is exactly what we all thought they were. An extremely talented (maybe most talented in the SEC in 2012) group of underacheivers, that played a really tough game against Alabama, got a lot of things to break their way during the game, but just couldn't make a stop or score when they absolutely had to, which is the story of the program the last 10 years or so.

Georgia had a good season, but will always wonder what could have been if they could have just put a full game together against 2 of the 3 good oppoents they played. 350 yards allowed rushing? Really?

Oh you mean the plays that happen in the game? If our defense had tackled better then lacy wouldn't have ripped off a 41 yard run and we would have run.

See how thy sounds? Plays happen in a game and they're all important. Shut the frick up.

You'll never get over the hump w/ Richt and win a title. If you couldn't do it this year w/ all that talent then its NOT going to happen. I'd think all the Tide fans in here patting you on the back and telling you how great you are after they beat you should tell you all you need to know a/b your program. You're not a threat.

Coming from a Usce fan this is fricking rich. Please cite me all of your titles so I can take notes on how to win championships.

Textbook example of missing the point.

Breaks went our way, breaks went theres. Lack of depth and them controlling the ball some much. They had a long drive before the field goal and turned around and had to go back on D. Richt has finally started to sign a ton of quality players for depth. This is the first time I've believed Richt can get us over the hump, and I think it could happen in the next three years.

I think UGA had a great season given the fact that the EAST was very strong this year. USCe, Florida, all did well this year.

I also think that no team in America could be luckier than Alabama. Grant it, they have some talent, but all joking aside, they are about 4 plays from losting 3 games this season and playing Pitt in "who cares" bowl. I know the gumps know this, and they will admit it. But at the end of the day it is all about wins and losses, and know one will remember woulda, coulda, shoulda. But UGA was right there until Murray decided to be Jordan Jefferson for 10 seconds. So, since UGA couldn't get it done against a second tier Bama team (not one of their best squads) Richt needs to go. Congrats on a good season. :banghead: :banghead:

I may be setting myself up to get trolled here but I was just wondering what the perception of our program is like after Saturday. Before the game we were seen as a program that constantly wet the bed and rightfully so. I don't think anyone can say that after Saturday(Yes I know we still lost).

This is where I disagree completely.
Your coach literally gave it his best, and failed. That game signified to me that UGA is truly never going to be on the level of Bama, LSU, and UF with Richt as head coach.

I'm actually surprised the Dawgs are not MORE pissed with Richt after that game. It was a pretty evenly matched game, you just don't have the right HC.

A lot people thought we were foolish to fire Sherman. The truth is, winners win and losers lose.

There you are. I knew it was only a matter of time before you showed up. You have cried more about UGA this year than any other.

Yeah we ALMOST won the SEC championship and got a shot at the title. Let's fire all our fricking coaches because of that damn tipped ball. God your an idiot.

Name the team we would not be favored against. Nothing says lucky like the Auburn and Ole Miss wins, to name a couple.

Perception of UGA

Used a notoriously weak SEC schedule to back door into the SEC title game two years in a row.

That Bama/UGA game was supposed to be in the regular season. That would have put Florida in the SECCG.

How can you consistently dodge the 3 best teams from the West every year???

Well next year you have to pay the piper. The big boys are coming to Athens.

Favored against and covering are 2 disctintly different things. Bama is favored against the most over rated school in the nation, Norte Dame. If you think for one second that I would put my cash on the I dont cover big games bama, you are crazy.

I'd say UGA loses to both LSU and A&M this year as well.

LOL! Sounds like BAMA in the west! Tennesee and Vandy are tough! And their schedule is the same way next year. They should give the trophy to the folks who create that garbage.
