I didn't think UGA had it in them. I was wrong.

Still about the same, but I have always thought that Georgia will break through and win a NC soon. All the talent in the world, but seem to find a way to come up short. Georgia will break through eventually. Razor close to doing so this year.

I do think Georgia has to get tougher on defense. Once Alabama decided to run the ball, it started to look silly in the second half on that side of the ball. I don't know if it was mental or physical, but I was shocked that Alabama was rushing for 10+ yards a carry, almost at will. Alabama hasn't really done that to anybody to that degree all year. You look at Georgia's defense physically and there is just no way they should have been pushed around like that.

I am serrrrrriously back and forth on how the NC game is gonna go. I'm just glad Saban will have such a while to plan.

A butt high field goal attempt away from being blown out. I kid

Have been down on the dogs since Richt tried to make you FSUn with the rush the field and jersey change gimmicks, and the the players seemingly unable to stay out of trouble. Very impressive performance Saturday night that I did not expect from UGA. Enjoyed the fans too, great showing and passion throughout the game. The game could have gone either way right up to the end.

One thing though, never wear those Power Ranger outfits again - ever.

Boise St. 21-35 L
SC 42-45 L
LSU 10-42 L
Michigan St. 30-33 L
SC 7-35 L
Florida 17-9 W
Bama 28-32 L

Back to back 10 win seasons but only 1-6 against teams that finish in top 25. If playing great but losing is what UGA fans have become, then you are what you used to despise!

Would improve if during your games they didn't play that awful commercial with the people lining up to ring a bell, and the song...

OH MY HEART! OH MY HEART! OH MYYYY HEARTTTT!

That's just how I see it. Georgia would dominate like Alabama if they had a hard-arse as a coach

Not saying I don't agree with this I just think it can be done playing loose and emotional. Maybe just more on the once every 5 years side and not 3 out of 4 like you guys are doing now.

Haha agreed. That commercial blows. The sad part is that it is an improvement over previous years.

Perception of UGA

I may be setting myself up to get trolled here but I was just wondering what the perception of our program is like after Saturday. Before the game we were seen as a program that constantly wet the bed and rightfully so. I don't think anyone can say that after Saturday(Yes I know we still lost).
So what do people think.
1.It's 1 game and we are still massive underachievers.
2.The end of the season and the game Saturday are a springboard back to national relevance.

I know there is a lot of speculation here but give it your best shot.

Leaning more to #2 IMO.
However, had Murray spiked it and thrown 2, possibly 3 passes into the end zone, a possible victory would have really cemented it had one of those passes been completed.
That being said, we BOTH should have defeated Bama.
One more first down from the Bama 28, we kneel down 2 or 3 times and defeat them 17-14; and thus would have been a good bet to be playing Notre Dame in Miami.
Same for you guys if you score at the end....

That was the best ATL I can remember. UA down 21-10 didn't flinch. UGA loses a good lead but then charges right down the field for a legitimate shot. One of those games where it's a shame someone has to lose.

Some can still harp on that, but Beating Florida as of late to get to Atlanta 2 years in a row stands for something.

Richt needs to take advantage of this and start locking down Georgia and being able to cherry pick some top recruits from outside the state.

Even with the loss Saturday, like you said a springboard back to the National spotlight is pretty much what y'all needed right now.

I had futures bets on UGA and LSU to win the national title from the preseason. Would have been nice to have a team guaranteed to be in the game.

ND's first string can play with anyone but they lack depth. If they don't jump out on you guys up front (unlikely since they don't have an O), the 2nd half will be brutal as that first string wears down.

You'll never get over the hump w/ Richt and win a title. If you couldn't do it this year w/ all that talent then its NOT going to happen. I'd think all the Tide fans in here patting you on the back and telling you how great you are after they beat you should tell you all you need to know a/b your program. You're not a threat.

When I think of UGA, I think of co-eds. Football comes in much, much later.

Granted I haven't watch all that much UGA football, but from what I can tell we already watched the National Championship game and UGA put up one hell of a fight (minus the brain fart from Murray). UGA looked good and has a great coach, but I think they lack the depth that Bama has. Same thing happened to A&M towards the end of their game with them. A&M looked worn down and tired, much like the UGA defense. We were fortunate to be on fire in the 1st Quarter. All that's left now is for Alabama to pound Manti into dust and bring home the trophy. It'd be nice to have the NC and the Heisman in the SEC.

Not bad. An objective Aggie.
