He has three wins over Alabama out of 7 games, that is practically a GOD at Auburn.

I am all for pointing out Gus' weaknesses, but recruiting isn't really even a big one for him.
It's also suspect to credit Champ for Brown and Davidson.

man Im sorry.. I'm an Auburn fan second.. sister and mom went there. grew up a fan... but this is to be expected from Auburn.. as much as you want to be a tier one school... you're just not. having like the 5th-15th ranked class is where you belong. and that's what gus does. Alabama only gets around 1 or 2 5 stars PER YEAR... and you have to fight Bama and Georgia for them. do you really expect gus to pull an out of state 5 star every year???

Really? Always seemed Auburn has had average signing classes under him.
Seemed like Chizik had better classes. That 2010 Auburn class was higher ranked then any Gus signed. Though maybe it was just that 2010 class that was so highly ranked and the rest weren't that great.

Chiz's classes were always skewed. He would sign high star guys..........but we had holes all over the field. Gus does a much better job at signing for need, IMO. The OL recruiting has been the only issue. Hopefully the new OL coach is a much better recruiter than the previous one.

Just checked and that 10 class was ranked 6th, the 11 class was ranked 5th.
