Per CFN - Why so travel averse/SEC needs to work harder on their scheduling

Who is making these schedules for certain teams every year and is the SEC policy deliberately set to limit the need to travel out of state for each team? - to almost never leave their home state.
Scared to travel - I'm looking at you Florida and (historically and now) Georgia and Auburn.

- The SEC has to work harder on its schedules because they all seem sort of screwy.
Auburn has to leave the state of Alabama just twice the rest of the way playing back-to-back mid-October games against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
It's only the 3rd week of the season - BUT...
- After this game against the Vols, Florida leaves Florida just one more time the rest of the regular season – at Vanderbilt on October 13th.

The Gators have just one true road game

So since we have left the state twice already, I guess that doesnt count

That's dumb. If our game with UG was home and home we'd be there.
We have to play FSU and we go there. Nothing we can do about that.
So, if we beat a rebuilding UT, that means we should beat LSU, UG and SC too. Great logic.

We just played in the Kickoff Classic a few weeks ago?

I hate that stupid debate. Focus on what matters - the strength of the opponent, the location of the game, and what is within the program's control in scheduling.
Yes, this is one aspect - away games. But factor it in with everything. There are two premier teams in Florida OTHER than the Gators, as well as several mid level teams.
Look at Florida's entire schedule. Look at their conference games, their nonconference games, and the locations of those games. If the ENTIRE view indicates a weak schedule, harp away. But I am tired of all this focus on Florida playing games in Florida...and I'm not even a Florida fan. Whiny-assed B1G looking for excuses why the SEC dominates football right now.

4 times out of state, plus a road game to Alabama...

These schools have three of the biggest instate rivalries in the conference. Silly to dismiss that as "scared to travel."

Oh, this is nothing more than a dig at UF for not traveling like we can do anything about Foley's desire to maximize home games for revenue so he can spend it on shite like women's lacrosse stadiums.
How many SEC schools have a women's freaking lacrosse stadium? He likes the money to throw around the entire athletic department and it's not changing.
By the way OP, this is one of the most tired digs you can throw at UF. Why didn't you add jorts in there too?

I like a good intersectional matchup as much as the next guy, but as long as Florida has FSU on the schedule, I don't really see it as necessary for them.
I don't know what their beef with Auburn is, I haven't really kept up with their schedule that much lately, but I know for at least the last three years they've played a premier ACC team.
In fact, the ACC in-state rivalries (and Louisville as well) tend to make me give most of the SECE a pass on OOC schduling.

Creative digs include Orange crocks.
The women's lax stadium is nice.

Do yall really have that? If so, I don't think you're question is broad enough. I would ask how many other schools in this country and Canada have that, and I still think yall would be close to unique in that aspect.

It is very nice. It would have made a great place for an IPF though. That's just not Foley's goal.

Bitch we traveled to Stillwater, OK, Tempe, AZ, Boulder, CO, and Columbia ,MO in the past 4 seasons.
Hell we we're supposed to play a home and home with Oregon until conference expansion. Not to mention the Buckeyes backed out for the 2020 and 2021 series

Can you really count this now they are in the SEC?

USC has more instate game than Georgia, and the same number as Auburn. Are they "scared to travel"?

Yes, instead of an IPF (cause we know we don't have lightening storms in UF) he built a women's lacrosse STADIUM. Yes a stadium. It's very nice. Hell, could be the nicest in the country. How the eff would anyone even know. Frick it. It's the nicest women's lacross stadium in the entire world. Good luck trying to refute that.
