It's not nearly as stupid as a thousand people making stupid germans references when they do it.

The best way to deal with this issue is to either RA it with the option "no longer needed" or just to ignore the topic in general. To keep bumping it back to the top by saying "Germans" or "Herman Johnson" or whatever the self ego-boosting quip is today is defeating the purpose of denoting that it has already been discussed.

Herman Johnson is the new response for topics that have been discussed ad nauseum, like the whole "Herman Johnson was the biggest baby ever born in the state of Louisiana" thing sportscasters beat to death with every opportunity they get.
