We won a fricking NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP with them!!!! What the frick else can you ask for? Would you rather go back to JPW and Applewhite?

You won a national championship with that defense and running game. Both have been average at best for y'all this year.

Defense is only part of the game though. Without the offense scoring points as well, we don't go undefeated last year

Man, if only we had one of those high flying offenses like Houston or Texas Tech used to have...you know, the ones who never win shite.

You have to be able to run the ball to win championships, and I'll always favor a running attack over a passing one, mainly because every team that wins a NC usually has the better one than their opponent.

I think McElroy has done a pretty good job for the most part. Frustratingly good.

What college QB plays like an NFL seasoned professional? None.

McE is a good college QB.

McElroy had a career effort in last week's 35-21 loss at South Carolina. He completed 27-of-34 passes for 315 yards (a career high), two touchdowns and no interceptions.

You apparently didn't read that, so I thought I would point it out for you.

Wow. Bench the QB that has busted his arse for ya'll for the last 2 years because of a bad game?

I bet you thought Tebow should've been benched when Ole Miss beat them a couple of years back.

Yep. I just edited my post. I thought about it after, and it's just a few fans, like in all fan bases.

See, this is the problem. Alabama fans are content with having a sluggish, boring offense. It's been drilled into them since the '92 NC. Yes, McElwain and McElroy is a better combo than JPW and Applewhite. So what? McElwain and McElroy are still extremely mediocre at what they do. There's a ton of talent on this team on offense and they're holding this team back. I'm pissed off watching a WR like Julio getting wasted running nothing but five yard routes and catching a bunch of WR screens. I'm pissed off watching this team struggle moving the ball through the air even though the offensive line is pretty solid and the wide receivers are better than average. I'm pissed off watching this team struggle in the red zone with the best running game in America, be completely incapable of converting on third and long and fail to sustain drives consistently whenever we go up against SEC competition. I'm pissed off at all the fans defending McElroy and McElwain when this team has underachieved immensely on offense in relation to its talent level. That's why I'm very angry. If that makes me a negative fan, then so be it.

Dude, you could be an LSU fan.

I believe McElroy must have run over Bench McElroy's dog and stole his girlfriend.

I get the feeling the D could go out tomorrow shut out Ole Miss.. Offense could throw up 80 pts, 60 coming off of McE's arm, another 14 from him running it in, and ol' boy will still say he's not any good.
