He’ll end up being Leonard Hamilton Lite. Good recruiter but not able to win consistently with them.
He’s also tried to play up Calipari not adding Memphis to the schedule as him being “scared”. Like we don’t play UNC, Duke, Michigan State, Louisville, Kansas, etc. consistently in the OOC.

This Tennessee team is good enough to hurt a lot of peoples feelings this year.

Penny’s antics have been bizarre but those West TN weirdos have been eating it up.
I hope Tennessee drops them from the schedule after next season. Memphis needs Tennessee way more than we need them.

VOLS whipped Memphis @ Memphis. There was a bit of a kerfuffle at the end of the game and Hardaway claimed our whole bench was coming at theirs ready to fight, with balled fists. Barnes laughed it off in a press conference, which Hardaway didn't like either.
Oh, and they were flopping like crazy and our coaches and players commented on it. He didn't like that either.

Vols are engaging in classic little bro behavior. Get a little success, and start posting about how bad the fans (UF) and coaches (Hardaway) of other programs behave towards the Vols. Quit the whining and just enjoy the asskickings your team is administering.

This kind of bs is why the series was cancelled for so long. It doesn't matter the coach or the sport, Memphis always brings drama with them. I get that he's trying to ignite an in-state rivalry but he's coming across as a complete tool.
