Penny is a strange case. I don't really get the beef with Barnes. I don't think anyone has ever had beef with Barnes.
Penny begging Kentucky for a head to head makes sense for Penny, he's trying to get his AAC team some exposure. At least I think they're AAC? I honestly don't even know. What I do know is theres absolutely nothing in it for Kentucky or Cal.

Doesn’t have much talent this year but the returns aren’t promising on him as a coach if you watch his team play. It is a horrendous brand of basketball.
No real reason for Tennessee to continue playing that series long term if we’re being honest.

Maybe we look at it like an expo game for the Memphis area? There are some athletes down there. Just play in Memphis and whoop that arse every other year in front of the locals.
