I'm confused. Are you saying that you weren't saying that SECRant posters refused to condemn the A&M retards?

No you absolutely did not “rush Kyle Field.”

BigBro, had that happened in any large number, it would have made every news station across this country, because I promise you, it would not have gone over well ... to put it mildly.

Literally the entire job of those senior cadets you see situated along the sidelines (not the ones in the stands) is to prevent such an incident from occurring. The SMU clip posted of the “overzealous” cadet above shows exactly how seriously they take that responsibility.

If a smattering of random sips attempted it, I’m sure they were quickly shown the error of their ways.

lol, BigBro, I have to laugh at how you provided a clip from 1995 when asked for something more recent.

I search wayback machine, but it isn't archived.

Following the game, Texas fans rushed the field. Although no one could condone that behavior, particularly after they were asked politely to stay off it, several hundred members of the Corps of the Cadets approached and started beating a few of them. At best it was silly; at worst, it was assault. In addition, a few of the yell leaders got involved in the brawl.

While some of the yell leaders were doing their jobs by leading the dejected crowd in yell practice, one was being forcibly separated by the police from a guy carrying the Longhorn flag. The Longhorn fans were behaving inappropriately on the field, and to see drunk and obnoxious t-sips belittle Kyle Field enraged us all.

But violence was not a fitting response. Here was a chance for the yell leaders to take the high road and to show the 70,000 fans at Kyle Field which university has more class. As our elected representatives at football games, they have a responsibility to show what A&M stands for. Hopefully, that does not include bad sportsmanship in defeat. Rather than being the noble men on Kyle Field, they repeatedly accept the low standards the University of Texas set throughout the game.

For me, it made a sad experience even worse. This was my last game as a student, and for the first time, I saw our football team play a game at Kyle Field it did not deserve to win. Worst of all, based on the behavior of the yell leaders and members of the audience, our University didn’t deserve to win, either.

Wellborn said he was there and that it didn't happen.. and I'm just saying it 100% happened. I was there in the endzone. I have good friends with all sorts of crazy stories from that night. Fortunately for them, they weren't some of the ones who got their asses beat. Fortunately for me, I was with my family and not with my friends.. or my dumbass would have been out there.

Either way, Texas 100% rushed Kyle Field and the Corps thought it was their right to beat the shite out of anyone who did.. because they were protecting a Memorial Field., so this is a more recent example of the "SMU Sabre Game."

It is no longer considered a Memorial Field.

So your link is from a student newspaper? Odd.

Anyway, again, if a handful of sips did this, it was promptly stopped, as was stated in your “link.” There was no mass “rushing of the field,” as you’re attempting to imply.

The fact that your link states that they were “asked” to stay off the field lends one to conclude that it was a small group.

As far as this quote,
“The Longhorn fans were behaving inappropriately on the field, and to see drunk and obnoxious t-sips belittle Kyle Field enraged us all,” that seems a strange thing for you to be bragging about. But I guess we all saw this past weekend how much your fans respect others.

I was at that game. You're remembering things the way they never were.

I can also attest that since the Cadet drew his saber on the SMU cheerleaders in the early 80s, no Cadets are allowed to bring their sabers into the stadium nor on the field.

Anywho, don't be trashy. Don't throw trash on fields. Especially your own. Don't shite where you eat. Hope this helps.
