USC called..they said these "investigations" are severely underrated.

I don't have any idea how deep any investigation is, but I do know it's not closed.

FWIW, I believe the OP.

Haven't read this thread, but anyone who knows anyone involved would know that there is still an investigation going on. There will be one until the NCAA says publicly that either a) there will be a formal letter of inquiry or b) there is no wrongdoing.
B has not occurred.
B has not occurred.

Worst that could happen is the say Cam shouldn't have played
But like Finebaum said the other day, AU is not USC, USC only had to vacate bc they were so uncooperative

What!?!?
Seriously, I have close, good friends on the team....180k-200k did not exchange hands
I'm sure some money did but no more than what happens at all schools

No. That's not the worst thing, beaver. Worst thing is that they told Auburn to play him at their own risk, but that if they found information that would render him ineligible, Auburn would suffer a greater punishment.
Auburn fans assume, incorrectly, that eligibility granted for 2 games implies that he will be found eligible for the entire year.
If the NCAA had intended that to be the case, they would have included that in their decision. See the Alabama textbook scandal for clarification.
Finally, unless anyone on this thread knows anyone involved, what they say is pure speculation. If anyone knows anyone involved, they certainly aren't going to say who or what they know.

Is there a link supporting that Finebaum actual made this statement or is this thread just AU/UA pissing match number 250 for the week?

Umm, so that means he would be ineligible correct, meaning AU played with an ineligible player right?
Yeah, I think AU would have it pretty dang bad if that statement comes out and all those "W" on the records are gone.

i doubt anyone recorded the radio show and is able to share the audio link.

I don't think people on the Auburn football team are the people who are going to give credible information.
Anyone involved is bound by confidentiality.
