I gotta say it looks like he married a great woman. Positive influence on what matters.

Patrick Peterson and and Tyrann Mathieu were a threat to score a TD every single game (and they seemed to) and they played defense. Amazing players and even better as men off the field.

You've yet to explain why he shouldn't be and how exactly he's overrated. Care to elaborate with something tangible or do you just want to stick with a hot take and call people retarded for not agreeing with you?
I just don’t think he’s ever been remotely close to the best corner in the league. Nobody has even pretended like he was in the discussion for it. But it seems like when folks zoom out they just throw him at the top.
What are some tangible things we can look at? Please don’t say pro bowls.

I have always found him to be a really good football player but also very overrated.

If you want to know why Peterson, Jr was a success:
"And Dad was strict. The only year Peterson Jr. didn’t play football was his sophomore season at Blanche Ely, when Peterson Sr., who happened to be his position coach, suspended him from the team because of poor grades. From that point, academics were never an issue again."

quote:I lose track of them once they go pro but he was a hell of a back in college. I can remember a time when one of the back for LSU intercepted a pass on the sidelines and PP7 was running backwards waiving the guy on and Patrick still outran him. To stir things up - was it an interception or an incomplete pass? Seems I remember there being an ongoing debate about it. Don't remember who they were playing.
