Nick Saban is the biggest jerk in college football bar none - and yes, I thought that when he was at LSU.
Anytime you get close to the truth with him, he blusters and tries to intimidate reporters and tries to get you to back down. It is his tell and he has been doing it for years. His response right there tells me that his dirty as can be and knows what is going on. He thinks that he can bluster through any situation.
Complete garbage.
One day, a reporter is going to go off on him and tell Saban to kiss his own arse and shut up with his nonsense and answer a freaking question.
But, we probably expect too much from reporters who are overall, a bunch of pansies.

Nick Saban fashions himself as the spokesman for college football. He is on ESPN every chance he gets acting like he knows all and is in charge of all.
It is a legit question about recruiting. The allegation is that Alabama offered White while Saban was at LSU. He can speak to the process. He was not implicated.
His response is a joke and the question is legitimate.
