Are you really implying West Virginia is nicer?

Seemed like we wanted him as a WR, guess not. The main thing is, why would he be offered a corvette? He shined at WVU under RichRod, but I don't think anyone saw that coming when he was in H.S.

They didn't. He was rated a 2-star by Scout. I seem to recall Bama offered him very late, after he committed to WVU. Scout says he was offered by Bama, UK, and Vandy other than WVU.

Corvette for a three star is about right, 40-50 k

4 star is 75-150 k

and we all know a 5 star is 150k and up now thanks to Auburn

Yeah, right Pat. Prolly got confused, Bama said Chevette not Corvette

I would have believed him if he said a Fiero.

Not the least bit surprised. A former bammer student trainer turned author wrote a long, detailed article about bammer paying players and doing whatever else it took to win as far back as the early 1940's. Guy also claimed the culture of corruption around the bammer football program ran so deep the cheating could never be stopped. Talk about a prophet
Let us know when a former bammer head football coach decides to spill the beans on the established cheating scheme within the football program.... ala Tiny Tot Bowden.

Bama already had Brodie Croyle and signed JPW that same year. They didn't want him as a QB.

Which is why he was recruited as a DB, not a QB. One of the big reason he chose WVU

Let me know when you find someone who claims Auburn was paying players as far back as the 1920's. The article by the former Alabama student trainer was written in the 1940's, but it details how bammer was paying players and doing anything else it took to win all during the 1920's, 1930's, and 1940's.

I think he meant to say "turned down a Chevette from Alabama to play at West Virginia" and the auto-correct on his phone changed it to Corvette.
