It's not that Bama is no longer a good team. In fact Bama is still one of the greatest and most consistent teams in college football. The reason we are no longer a dynasty is because teams no longer fear us. We don't have that edge that makes us clearly better than every team we play. When we play other really good teams we are essentially a 50/50 chance since 2012.

There is more parity now, at least within the SECw. A program like Bama used to be "clearly better" than all but one or maybe two other teams in the division every year. The gaps are getting smaller.

Indianapolis is talking a load behind the scenes about wanting Saban to replace Pagano.

Alabama never seemed to realize how lucky they were in 2011 and 2012. Things had to fall just right, and they did, and everybody around that program just acted like it would stay that way. Now Saban is winding things down,half-retired already, the fans are entitled and whiny, and everybody except for the Gumps can see exactly what's happening.
I take solace in knowing that Bama will never relinquish its spot at the forefront of your diminutive mind.

More 5* players on the bench than on any other team in the nation.
If you are going to have the best roster every single year, your expectations should be more than making it to the show.
Many of those players aren't 5* until they declare for Bama.
Just saying.

NOBODY is putting a secondary on the field that can lock down spread offenses ANYWHERE. To do so requires having 4-5 guys back there that can all cover 1 on 1 and tackle in space at a high level. Nobody has that.

How many times have we heard that from LSU people, maybe LSU should beat Bama first.

Made valid points regarding recruiting....especially the qb position.

It's not only Forde

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – What it looks like when a dynasty wobbles: thousands of Alabama fans hitting the exits like Derrick Henry hitting a hole. With 10 minutes left in the game, their team down 20. When the going got tough, the Bryant-Denny Stadium crowd got out.
LOL

Isn't Alabam defending SEC Champs? That article seemed to minimize the frick out of that. And if Bama did repeat it would be the first team to do since the 90's I think.
Maybe tDecline is happening, but like Wallace said, I think I will judge that at the end of the season.

While the Black Bears played well, what I couldn't get over was how many mistakes Bama made. Again, I know that's what good teams do, make their opponent make those mistakes, but good grief it was so out of the norm to see it happening, at home.
BTW....there are crazy MF's in this thread talking out their asses about the SEC West.

I hope Alabama has their shite in order before they play @ Texas A&M. That game has the potential to be a disaster.

I notice you have Oxford as your location and a join date of 2010. So, are you still in school? Having trouble graduating from a lower tier university? It's been 5 years and don't give us any bull-crap about you going for your masters. Or or, are you actually from Oxford?? Single wide or the more luxurious double? Either way, you're fricked. 27k posts as well. Nice! I bet you're quite the ladies man, considering all the time you spend on the internet.
