Finebaum just tweeted this:
"Pat Dye got his panties in a wad a week ago about Cam & got mad. His behavior was cowardly for not showing up last night. Inexcusable."

Barker is as objective about Auburn as Stan White is about Alabama.

Check this shite out-
quote:
The votes are in ladies and gentlemen. And the gullible nation has declared the Alabama Crimson Tide as the winners. Per a vote on ESPN every state in the Union voted for the Tide….except for Vermont and Arkansas . Poor ole George McGovern won almost as many states. And he did better in the popular vote than did Auburn as the Tigers only captured a scan 32% of the nationwide vote.
The media right down the familiar line….Herbie, Holtz, Donnan, Feldman, Low, and many others have cast their ballots for the crimson and white. Sure a few have picked us, but make no mistake; this one is us against the entire college football world.
Vegas and the American betting public have also cast their lot with the twice defeated Red Elephants over the yet to be defeated Tigers. They were installed early as a solid 4 point favorite.
At this very moment, more and more gamblers are hitching their wagons to the land of Houndstooth and Curry haters….as the line rises and presently sits at 4 ½ points….gimme some more Tide please they repeat time and time again. The public is indeed smart….as evidenced by the last presidential election.
The folks are voting with their pocketbooks and the results look bad for the visiting Tigers. The Tide and the line looks like it will continue to rise….wow, now the line is 5 and there is no ebb in site.
I guess they saw all of my posts about how stout Alabama is on defense??
What they will soon see is that Auburn right now is more undervalued than Ford stock was the day General Motors declared Chapter 11. We are as undervalued as say a head coach in Ames , Iowa with a lifetime 5-19 record was. We are so undervalued that not ONE soul outside the city limits of Auburn , AL realizes that our duo of Dyer and McCalebb has more rushing yards than Ingram and Richardson this season….and ours have fewer carries. Meanwhile, the other team is as overvalued as Enron was just before the fall. After all, didn’t we beat the two teams they lost to?
Not since Winston Churchill (with an 83% approval rating according to the polls) called for a snap election in 1945 has a higher percentage of the general public been so wrong. You see Churchill watched in shock as Clement Attlee became Prime Minister.
Not since 1994 when George Nethercuff defeated 30 year incumbent and Speaker of the House Tom Foley have this many talking heads been fooled. After all, it was Foley’s rightful seat wasn’t it? I mean NO sitting Speaker of the House had been beaten since 1860. How could it be?
Not since 1919 has the betting public been so badly mistaken. A phrase was coined that day as two year old phenomenon Man o’ War lost unexpectedly to a horse aptly named “Upset.”
You see Sir Winston, Speaker Foley, Man o’ War, and Alabama . The game is NOT won by polls and opinion and statistics. The game is won in the arena….on game day. And this time Auburn is “pulling an Upset.”
Little brother my a$$. We want no part of your bloodlines….never have and never will. We know 15 of your athletic programs are currently on NCAA probation and your best defensive lineman was actually suspended for 2 games this season by the NCAA for actually accepting illegal benefits. We also know all time we are 6-1 in your place. And since the playing field was leveled in 1989 we have beaten you more than you have beaten us.
Tell you want…..we are going to see your SEC West Championship, SEC Championship, BCS National Championship, and Heisman Trophy from last year and we are going to raise you at least a Davey O’Brien Award and perhaps even a Nagurski or Chuck Bednarik Award this year.
Your attempted lynching of our QB and of our football program has backfired. It has only strengthened the resolve and determination of this Auburn team and of the entire Auburn family. And payment is due in full on November 26, 2010 in front of a national audience full of witnesses. Make no mistake, we will collect. Our greatness will finally be seen for what it is and the public will know they have been fooled by the devil once again.
After 50 years of blood, sweat, and tears, the table is finally set perfectly for Auburn . Pull up a chair Auburn family because we ARE GOING TO FEAST!!!! The pundits and gamblers and talking heads are doing us a great favor by continuing to doubt us. Their collective doubt is just more fuel in our tank.
I posted previously that Alabama was the public’s War Admiral and we are the Seabiscuit of college football. Admiral Saban we are coming to your track and playing by your rules. Then on the back stretch we might even let you look us in the eye, but we’ll flash that winning smile and it’s over.
After thinking about it, I’ve changed my mind. This Auburn team might be more like Secretariat. This team’s heart is at least 3 times larger than normal. And take note Alabama and take note America . This Iron Bowl is our Kentucky Derby. It is but the first leg of our Triple Crown run. We’ll set the track record this Friday. But please remember, our best two races are yet to come!!!
AUBURN 41 Alabama 27

Did David Housel write that? it reads almost exactly like his famous "fight for the children, this is a war" speech back in the day...that is, without the cleft lip nasalness of his voice.
