It appears the better player plays on a worse team

I think Buggs got it right last night. It’s a shame they didn’t have two to give out.

Yet, Kyler still has the hardware, and the baseball signing bonus.

Enjoy the victory. Individual awards are subjective.

Tua lost the Heisman against MSU and UGA, man.

Let it go. Bama is in the CFB playoff finals.

Imagine what his rating would be if he played in a no defense conference like Kyler. Too bad Murray didn't have to face a defense like MSU or UGA before the voting.

Murray doesn’t have a lot of support around him and he still made Bama’s D look foolish at times. Only a fool would think that Tua vs Murray performance last night invalidated the Heisman results.

Foolish? Nah. He connected on a few nice passes but was only just a hair over 50%. That sucks ars.

Both great players. It sucks Tua got hurt early vs UGA, but it's not a given he lights it up there either.

Murray is a damn good football player.

shite, he was running all night. His stats would really be bloated if he had a nice safe pocket. Still three for over 300 yards and ran for over 100.

That's complete and total bullshite. He's got a ton of offensive weapons around him and a really good offensive line. Oklahoma's defense being shite has nothing to do with their offense.

Furthermore, the passer ratings reflect 14 games, not one.

OU has some talent, but it is elevated and exaggerated by Murray’s talent. He carried a 9 win team to the playoff mainly by himself.

and it took him nearly 40 attempts to get there. almost 50% of the time he threw it inaccurately. At least 3 times I can think off off top of my head he threw it and it hit a Bama defenders hands. Lucky for him the throw was so bad they weren't able to haul it in.

take the UGA game out of there and recalculate. He was playing with an injury that obviously affected his ability to throw accurately.

If Murray can get away with only playing one top 20 defense, we can give Tua the benefit of the doubt on one we know for certain he was playing injured against.

Here's the problem with Tua. He devoured the cupcakes on his schedule and he struggled mightily with the two Top 10 defenses he played.

Top 10 defenses:

UGA/MSU/-- 2 TDs 3 int
Cupcakes
(Louisville,Ark. St., Ole Miss, aTm, Ull,Arky,MZ,UT,Citadel, Auburn and OK)-- 37 TDs 0 int

That's why I call Tua the Samoan Cupcake Warrior.
He has Superhero like performances against defenses ranked over 50 (especially those ranked around 100).
His personal Kryptonite seems to be any defense in the Top 10.
That's OK. Even Superman couldn't leap tall buildings and all that when he was faced with Kryptonite.

Doesn’t play as well against better defenses, you say?
