How do you count them as owning women’s softball in the SEC when NONE of their championships counted while in the SEC?

Serious question.

I never paid attention to softball until I had kids and they took up the sport. I gained a lot of respect after standing at the plate and swatting at a 60-something mph rise ball. Some of those girls are really talented.

I thought we were talking about what SEC schools have owned their sports relative to other programs within the conference. In that situation, when a team joined a conference is irrelevant IMO, which is why I only included things like national titles and CWS appearances. If you want to do SEC titles or whatever, then fine. I also said that Florida has dominated in the SEC as of late, so don;t get your panties in a wad over womens softball

I'm saying they own the sport above all others. They've simply won more championships and have more CWS appearances. In 3 years this might not be the case. I'd make exception if all 3 were circa 1940 but they aren't.

And I’m saying had those championships not been in the 1980s you would be right.

I give the nod to UF

I'm sticking with A&M. I gave Florida 2 sports and they may very well pass them soon. This is history and in a lifetime TAMU has been slightly better than UF as far as titles and CWS.

Florida owns baseball in the SEC as of late, 6 CWS appearances in the last 8 years and they just won the 2017 tournament.

Florida also owns track & field, they finish 1st almost every damn year and when they don't, they finish 2nd. Since 2009 they finished outside the top 2 only 1 time where they finished 3rd.

Florida is good at a lot of sports. They are always at the top of the SEC in overall national championships
