pushing and shoving happens a bit after some plays, the refs calm everyone down and there is a point where its simple trashtalking and pitter patter, the action had calmed down and then this alabama player goes flying to the ground and lsu gets a flag. this happens all the time. it wasnt anything out of the ordinary. that said, it was a tacky call.

1. The ball should never have been spotted at the one but at the 20.
Make up call from earlier in the game. Regardless, whistle had blown, therefore, play is dead.
quote:
2.The LSU lineman was the only player that kept pushing after the whistle blew at least 4 times.
You are right. Number 86 and 33 in red did nothing.
quote:
1. Hand holding on White in the end zone in the end zone clearly cost us 7 points.
When you use your hand to create space between you and a defender, I think that was a pretty inventive response from the defender. However, I don't think White saw the ball until it was too late.
quote:
2. Deandrew White was interfered with on the bomb threw on the final drive...Danielson said it could have been called.
If you call it there, you have to call it in OT.
quote:
3. The creepy LSU player that pulled down our linebackers pants while the play was ongoing should have been penalized or ejected.
This is a big fat, WGAF.
quote:
4 I saw at least three good holds by LSU lineman... the last one coming on the final play
You could call holding on every single play in today's college football. EVERY SINGLE PLAY.
Frankly, the game was absurdly bad. Dropped passes, sloppy qb play, and lack of focus/discipline on both sides. Neither team could take advantage of what the defense was giving them. Unfortunately, someone has to win. It was more "win by default"...than anything.

People keep saying it cost LSU the game, but that isn't true. Bama would have went for the end zone instead of kicking the field goal at the end of the game and scored on the same play they did in OT.
lol
Because the sequence of events wouldn't have changed at all if LSU was up by 7 points...

Could have been called = definite interference

your right I went back and watched it twice, it was a textbook example

I don't think you've been anywhere near a textbook in a long time.

You just told an internet poster to "suck it up."
Some of y'all get way too involved in this, and forget that you are just fans.

The ref who lives in Alabama, and has a daughter going to Bama, had to make the call because it was the only way to stop the clock and keep LSU from scoring a TD. It changed everything.
The game was called fine until LSU was about to win. Then EVERY call went Bamas way. Every one. Every single one, until they won. Refs absolutely decide close games, and they had a team they were walking to victory.

Well Brown got called for the same thing before the whistle ever blew in OT. Kinda hard to commit a foul after the play if the play is still going. Crap happens and the team has to overcome it. LSU didn't and Bama did.

Two different senarios. One has a clock in play and the other doesn't. Putting a team back 15 yards when they are trying to do two things: score and run to make the other team use timeouts, is totally different than putting a team back 15 yards to create a 1st and 10 senario with no clock consideration.

Why do people keep saying this? Bama had THREE timeouts. Someone explain to me how LSU could have run the clock down any further if that call is not made?

You're 100% correct here. As a fan of neither team m only vested interest was seeing a good game. Who wins really did not matter. Yet once again I feel cheated out of a great game because yet again SEC refs at the end of a game played a clear role in making sure one team won and another team lost.

The personal foul call on Alexander down on the 6 yard line was bullshite. The play was over, magee had been tackled and Bama linebacker shoved our tight end into to pile of players. Bama D lineman for no reason is behind Alexander pulling his leg for no apparent reason, Alexander turns around and give him a shove. Play was already blow dead before any of these infractions. Should have been either offsetting penalties or no call. Ref stood right there watching, saw all 3 things, when our guy shoved, now its a penalty. With that being said, when we are down that close trying to close out the game and run out the clock, Alexander is a Junior and a 3 year starter. He should have let it go and got ready for the next play. That penalty and the kickoff out of bounds changed the whole game. If neither occurs, odds are we win the game. Hats off to Blake Sims though. He was rattled all game long and didn't have one of his better games but with 40 seconds and no time outs left, he flipped the switch and was money from that point on out. Im proud of our team. After getting clubbed by Auburn and State, we have improved and played good run D all night and was in the game with a better than good chance to win at the end. Just didn't get it done. I saw good effort though.

Bama had two penalties in overtime, both from the LSU 1 yard line. Get that shite outta here.

Not at all. That's your opinion/coping mechanism.
Alabama won the game, that is a fact. A fact that will never change for all eternity.
