What the frick are you babbling about? When did LSU have the ball taken away from them? Are you insane?

They had first and ten at the 21. In fact, the penalty gave them an opportunity to run even more of the clock.

So it is all the Refs fault?

- I guess the refs

1) Made the QB get injured & caused a play clock stoppage?
2) They kicked the ball out of bounds?
3) Couldn't cover receivers and made Sims look like the 2nd coming of Namath?
4) Didn't call a timeout when the D was tricked up with a play?
5) Couldn't keep their opponent out of the end zone even with 20 yards of penalties?
6) Went full Tard and called 4 straight pass plays?
7) Had butter fingers and dropped a wide open pass in the flats?
8) On 4th down threw it in the end zone when they could have run for a 1st down?

Yep the Refs are to blame instead of just admitting you got prison rapped without lube because your players and coaches choked

Lol no. They had 2nd and goal from the 21. Big difference.

Oh, ok. I stand corrected. My point was that the refs didn't take the ball away from LSU by any stretch.

Besides, the guy shoved a Bama player after the play. That's against the rules. He shouldn't have done it. Blame the kid, not the refs.

everything that happened after that play was against the rules yet you only saw one flag for unsportsmanlike.
You even saw the entire officiating crew gather together to discuss the issue before the ruling.Surely that flag may have been an arrant throw by one official that maybe just caught the end of the scuffle but no. They all got together and still decided to penalize one team.
Un freaking believable.

After reading through this thread so far, I'd like to thank the LSU fans for personally contributing to the weekly Meltdown.

I love examining the game, and telling "ya'll to deal with it" is hilarious. This is a fun way to kill a day of pto.

You should probably get out more. It is a beautiful day outside.

It should have been offsetting but it doesn't matter, your players have to be smart enough to not act like idiots in that situation. Literally cost them the game.

Agreed. But then again I'm probably in the minority of LSU fans that don't think the officiating was any more awful than a usual game. Calls were missed on both sides. I hate that it wasn't offsetting but we have to be smarter than to let them goat us into shoving them last.

“ I didn't have a rooting interest

No, we are sure you want to play Bama with your putrid offense.

The ball shouldn't have been placed on the one to begin with, secondly LSU was not running that ball in for a TD in crunch time in our goal line defense.

WE GONNA RAPE MIZZOU.

I'm positive that you're a Mizzou fan with a little over a 100 posts in 2 years and not an LSU/Auburn alter.

The only thing that happened after the fourth whistle was that your lineman shoved Robinson...everybody else stopped when the first whistle sounded. It was a good call IMO... Having said all I am going to say on the subject...You guys are as hard nosed as any football team I have seen this year, and we were Auburn lucky to win the game

This is patently false. Of course you think it was a good call. Do any Bama fans find it odd that not one neutral fan has said it was the right call? That really tells you all you need to know.

You are absolutely wrong. The Bama players did not just stop once the whistles blew. There was pushing and shoving after the whistle from both sides just like there had been all night.

In fact, there is not one play that I can recall in ANY game at any level where the players just stopped dead once the whistle blew, which is what you're implying the Bama players did.

Well the call was terrible. There were about 8-9 pushes going on in that pile. It should have been no flag but if some tool ref decided he had to get involved it should have at least been offsetting.

It was a reasonable and correct call. Just er watched it. All shoving had stopped and Vadal gets in one last over aggressive push and A Robinson sold it with a perfect flop.

LSU thought it was great when Adams did it. The only thing he has accomplished all year by the way.

My comment wasn't concerning the game itself, only that I have noticed more than a few bad calls by SEC refs in big games. The SEC is too good of league than to be decided by ref calls.

The head of officials went to bama, the head refs daughter goes to bama.

I think the call was bad because that was going on all game yet they decide to make the call at a crucial part of the game. Players leg was being pulled, he shoves player, flag thrown then gets shoved by another player. Offsetting, but it was called in favor of bama.
