So then it's fair to me to point out that FSU squeaked by BC then right?
sure you can.

Can I also point out that Bama beat Georgia
go for it
can I also point out that Alabama LOST a game

Problem is the “4 best” is completely subjective and can be argued a thousand different ways.
Exactly.
Bama pushed for it, the committee chose ratings over integrity.
They threw away any hint of objectivity for the future.

so we no longer use outcomes of games played first, and just skip straight ahead to hypotheticals
Because that is literally the only argument or justification for putting Bama in, hypotheticals

That's fine. I can also point out that, even with one loss, Bama and Texas had resumes that stacked up favorably against FSU's.
Look, it sucks for FSU. They deserved to make the playoffs. Problem is 5 teams deserved to make the playoffs, and there was only room for 4. I feel terrible for their fans and players. A tough decision had to be made, and nobody will ever change my mind that the correct one was made.

It's college football. There are over 100 teams. All in different conferences, playing vastly different schedules, against vastly different competition week to week. It's never going to be a perfect system, and you will always have to use some judgement, common sense, and draw conclusions based on certain thoughts/predictions. That's the way it has always been, and the only way it can be.

I doubt if many of you believe that either Georgia or Alabama
It is not about that, it is about giving them a chance to play in final 4. There are many teams that may win it all if given the chance.

can I also point out that Florida State and Michigan resume's are very similar?
Michigan is 55 in sos and Florida State is 61 (using Sagarin ratings).
the 0 losses by Michigan was enough to overcome their weak as shite SoS and keep them above the 1 loss crowd.

If the championship game is Texas v Bama you'll know what I mean. Bama will destroy Texas.

Hmmm, LSU vs AU
One second left on the clock and LSU went on to win the Natty.
You miserable fricking moron.

I doubt if many of you believe that either Georgia or Alabama would lose to Florida State in the playoff. In fact, either team with beat Florida State by two or more touchdowns.
Didn't the same experts think Bama would blow out Auburn?

So Florida State should be left out b/c their conf champ opponent had a bad game the week before? Bama needed a last minute miracle to beat Auburn. Texas lost to Oklahoma. FSU is a power 5 school that went undefeated and even beat two SEC teams.
No. They should be left out because without their QB, they are no longer competitive at the highest level of CFB.

FSU also had an opponents' cumulative win-loss record of 77-79. Man, they really beat some good teams!

No, a fundamental fairness thread.

Leaving out an undefeated P5 champ in favor of two one-loss teams seems so fundamentally fair.

No. Again, common sense. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. Some just won't admit it because you hate Bama that much
Yes no way Ohio State was besting Bama with their 3rd string qb...oo wait....
No way TVU can keep it close with Michigan, they played nobody... oo wait....
The games have to be played, period.
Bama barely slipped by Arkansas, Auburn, USF and lost by double digits at home to Texas.
They don't belong, period.
How can you say FSU isn't good enough but drop Georgia behind them? Do you believe FSU can beat Georgia? In a meaningful game not the consolation prize they have been given.

and Michigan's is 83-75
with 16 of those wins coming from such Juggernauts as UNLV and Bowling Green.

if x equal y then kentucky beat florida last year so since Louisville lost to kentucky this year that makes them better than FSU becasue FSU only won because their second string QB played....make it stop

Texas has no business in the CFP but were selected to give the committee an excuse to add Bama…how embarrassing.
