I doubt if many of you believe that either Georgia or Alabama would lose to Florida State in the playoff.
Thats now how it should be decided.
If that was the case, Washington or Michigan wouldnt be in the playoffs.

I know right? Like no way TCU can hang with Michi......oo wait....
Under dogs win all the time. Especially when you have weeks to prepare.
Also, Bama squeaked by Auburn, fricking trash arse Auburn, they also struggled eith UCF and USF. He'll had thry not knocked Daniels out the LSU gam, that game is a nailbiter too.

Florida State's defense is about 40 spots higher than Auburn's.
Fsu played only 1 acc team all year that had less than 4 losses! That was acc #2 Louisville who got beat by the sec #8 team Kentucky lol

Can you honestly sit here and tell me that FSU has a better chance of beating Michigan/Washington than Bama or Texas do?

They won every game on their schedule, plus one.
Alabama lost at home by two scores, and it took a miracle for them to beat Auburn.

Probably so because they don’t give a crap at this point

Had LSU had been in the same position Bama was in last week and had won the game, all tiger fans heads would have spun around if we did not get picked over either Florida State of Washington.
Nope. I’d totally understand an undefeated Florida state getting in.
The criteria for the CFP is dumb and too vague.

LSU has a better chance at beating those teams than FSU. So what?

So Florida st should have just said from the beginning, that Jordan Travis would return or be ready for the bowl game. not fully disclosimg the injury would have got them in the bowl game. Would they have kept out a sec team, who had won the sec but had a hurt player? Just come out and say the acc is not a power 5 conference.

You can’t answer the question without deflecting. The 4 best based on what?

So what? There were 5 deserving teams of making the CFP. There are only 4 spots. One deserving team had to be left out. It makes sense to leave the one out that is pretty much universally agreed has no shot at winning. The committee did the right thing.

FSU held LSU to our lowest point total all year.
also beat us by more than Bama did.
their defense is legit.

If we know the results without playing, why take the risk of playing the games. Players could avoid injury, coaches could get sleep and spend needed time with family. I think you are on to something.

This is what you would call an opinion or prediction and not a fact.
If Milroe were to get hurt in the semi-final game and end up not scoring a point in the 2nd half but winning by 3, would you want Michigan to move on to the national championship even though Alabama won the game?

In Bama's case, winning the SEC.
In Texas' case, winning the big 12 and beating Bama.
Are we really going to pretend that this season had 7 teams with resumes that would have gotten you into the playoffs every other year of it's existence. Two of those seven were eliminated bc winning your conference was a must this year. 1 of the remaining 5 clearly stood out as not having a chance to win it.

Only simpletons will use the result of that game as an indication of anything. Bama, FSU, Oregon and Ohio St all don't want to be playing where they are.
