Not a whole lot of difference between top 6 teams to me. 2 of them did what was needed to get to ATL and 1 did what was necessary to get to BCS CG...but not a whole lot of difference.

UGA has more talent than any of the 2 loss teams mentioned in this thread. Also were one spiked ball away from playing for a National Championship. Hard to put them at the bottom of the list of "two loss" teams. Especially when they had to play an extra game to get that second loss. Keep hating though.

I don't see how you automatically know UGA would have scored a TD? Are you psychic or something? By your logic, LSU was one defensive stop from a national championship because we all know UGA can't win a big game.

LSU
A&M
Georgia
South Carolina

It's fairly obvious.
A&M at #2 and Georgia at #3 is really the only thing that could be legitimately argued, by intelligent people.
LSU is the only team that held Manziel to no TD's. If he is as good as we believe, that says something. While Georgia played Alabama close, A&M beat them and LSU played them just as close. Lattimores injury puts South Carolina in a rough position, if these teams were to meet today.

Lattimore had frick all to do with holding Georgia to their lowest yardage and points all season. We didn't win that game because of our running game, but our defense humiliating them. They were averaging 44+ points per game and 500+ yards per game before they played us and got a late 7 points on 224 total yards. Kenny Miles or Mike Davis in the back field would have yeilded the same results (See Clemson's high flying offense...).

Additionally, I think our D could have done a comparable job on JM to what the Tigers did, given the chance. And had our game been played in Columbia instead of BR the outcome could have been different, but that result is immaterial to this argument. LSU is number one by virtue of head to head results, followed by USC, A&M and Georgia... in that order. But it's all speculative.

So then we played 3 of the top 5. Not 2 as you said earlier

No UGA played 2/5 of the top SEC teams in the REGULAR SEASON

Response typical of the georgia fanbase. Can't win anything so you have to celebrate almost winning something. Congratulations on losing in the SECCG

He's saying that being in the SECCG is better than not being in it at all, which is not to be mistaken for celebrating a loss.

Not one UGA fan is celebrating that loss.

I honestly believe the 2010 South Carolina team that lost five games was a better team than this year's South Carolina squad.

You can throw in the "intelligent people" remark but it doesn't make it so, and intelligent people don't talk that way. If we had to replay teams, in order of would not want to play again -

UGA
LSU

God damn the ignorance. You played 2 of the top 5 SEC teams. Of course you had one loss. Had you ha to play Bama, LSU , or A&m during the regular season , you would've lost to all three. You got beat 35-7.

Ignorance? Dude, stating a fact is all I did. Can we help our SEC Schedule or the fact that the teams on that schedule aren't any good? frick NO. UGA showed up and played who they were scheduled to play. Seems to me that some should step their games up. UGA has no control over SEC scheduling or the lack of skill on those scheduled teams. We made it through the regular season with one loss. These other teams all lost twice.

Objectively, how can you make sense of your position.

I think it's safe to say Lattimore being out changes South Carolina's team. It's a toss-up for the final three if that doesn't happen.

Almost beating Bama means very little when A&M did beat them and LSU led Bama with under a minute left.
And your almost beating Bama means nothing also....even with under a minute left.

No, it's because you got fricking destroyed by SC while LSU beat them
And UGA beat UF, who destroyed USCe, and UF beat LSU.
