Look at the Trek Marlin series. I have a Marlin 5, but I think they’re on the 7’s now. Very good entry level hybrid IMO. Think I paid $495 for it back in 2015.

God bless you for having the patience to do this. I sure as hell don’t
You bet

So the tempo runs consist of 1 or 2 miles easy, x # miles @ ST/MT/LT pace, and 1 mile easy to finish.

If you want, I can email you anything out of the book you want. Like the track repeats, tempo run, long run info along with prescribed pacing for whatever goal time you choose.
I can check when I get home, but pretty sure the tempo runs consist of a 10-15 min warm up, X # of miles at tempo (can be short, medium, or long tempo pace), and a 10 min cool down

Also dropping in to say I’m a fan of that Diamondback TT frame
They say you can either jog or walk. I typically walk for a bit in between intervals (400m or so?) just to get my HR back down to a reasonable rate. FWIW, I reeeeeally enjoy their speed/interval workouts :dude:
Lol it’s hot as shite, man. Just went for a lunch run and it felt like 102.

I haven’t run more than 5 miles in a while. Been keeping it at 2-3 for tempo/VO2 max and 4-5 for easy/aerobic runs.
Honestly I did not follow the cross training as well as I should have, in retrospect. I was still going to the gym and lifting weights MWF, in addition to the Tu, Th, Sat runs. There were some days I would throw in some cycling tho, and I kept this pretty low intensity. From an FTP standpoint, I would say I averaged about 60% of my FTP on those rides.
T-Alley: I’m not an experienced runner compared to most in this thread but I’ve done this plan for half marathon previously. I liked the 3 runs per week schedule, but I’m probably in the minority there. I have the book if you want to know more about the plan.

Just did an easy 15 miles around the neighborhood. My God it feels good when it’s 70 degrees with no sun beaming down on you :nana:

Damn, I bet that was awesome :pimp:
5 miles easy this morning, kept it aerobic the whole time. Kind of feel like a dumbass that it took me 2 years to realize you don’t have to be a hero on every run haha

I'm leaning more in this direction. Since I've been tracking sleep/quality lately it's absurd how bad alcohol affects my sleep.

Dude, same here. It’s very eye opening IMO. Between the sleep score and body battery feature on my Forerunner 945, I’ve become a little obsessed with it. I often wonder now just how bad my sleep was back in college
I can’t stop laughing at the bottom middle pic in the OP—a guy allegedly named Jop Stanley whose Twitter handle is wenispeaner
Damn white supremacists at it again I see :Casty:

re: Slipping into depression

Don’t have depression but when I’m feeling off it always helps me to get outside for a bit. I like to go for a walk, run, hike, something like that. I feel better after exercising, like I accomplished something. Hope this helps brotha
486 mi run
585 mi bike

Trying to get to 1000 mi run by year end…might be doable once the weather cools off a bit

Having a kid in March really threw a wrench in my training schedule… who’d have thought?
