Zero chance that happens
Better question, does flipping back to Ewers hurt Texas in any way this weekend? I ask because any change in QB has initial growing pains and can take a couple games for the rest of the Offense to recalibrate and find that new rhythm.

Ewers can't come out with the ridiculous turnovers like in last year's game. That said, Manning isn't a perfect substitute for what Ewers brings in the short and medium passing game. Manning is capable of beating OU, but the playcalling surely changes in he is in the game instead of Ewers while it is undecided.

I would agree with this, but someone brought up the point that JA can’t play another snap this year if we wants to keep red shirt alive.
Given he’s only a game removed from a biblical mental collapse against Tennessee, I would say if the situation arises where the moment becomes too much for Hawkins you bring in Thompson for relief. He’s played the game before, he’s a decent qb and experienced.
JA needs time to reset. Can’t imagine what is going through his head after what happened against Tennessee. Don’t wish that on any young player.

Sir, this is the SEC Rant. It’s called the Red River Shootout. Take your PC crap elsewhere.

Watching both QB's Arch throws a better deep ball...without a doubt.
Ewers has the advantage of quicker decision making with the short and medium passes...comes with experience. I believe Arch is quicker to run if he senses nothing is there.

yeah the thought of it fricking sucks.. I can't even imagine it actually happening.. esp since CT was the starter for Sark 3 years ago

Arch would also create a qb controversy by scoring TD's when he is in there.
Yeah I don't think so.. unless Ewers looked like absolute dogshit..
1 series of scripted plays a game.. it would be hard as hell for DC's to prepare for both as well

Ewers needs to be the same QB as the Michigan game where he showed poise and patience that Arch hasn’t learned yet. If he’s rusty and OU keeps it close or goes ahead, fans will overreact and I can already picture the scene during and after the game.
As for OU, if Arnold is in then it’s been a very bad day for the Sooners. He’s terrible.

Doesn't matter who they trot out to take the centers snaps, our defensive backfield is vastly improved from the last time we played.
Last season it was a bunch of blown coverages and DB's tackling WR's after the catch instead of preventing them in the first place, this year is the exact opposite. Of course it helps greatly we now have legit pass rushers, but the personnel and scheme in the backfield are truly a step up.
Our weakness last year was consistent pass coverage, this year it's consistent run stopping. We either stuff the runner behind the line for a loss or allow them to rip off a long one. Thankfully so far we've done more stuffing behind the line, but we won't know for sure how stout our D is until we face a really good running team.

I don't agree with your assertion (and I can do so without being insulting). I think Sark calls more RPOs with Quinn. Certainly the qbs see different things and will pursue different route options and that results in different aspects of blocking that receives focus.

If Arnold sees the field it will be due to injury or ineptitude by Hawkins. If Hawkins comes in and turns it over 3 times and the offense is stagnant, I could see it happening. If that’s the case though we’ll be in a mighty big hole and I don’t think Arnold has the stuff to pull us out of it.

exactly. all the arm chair coaches told us arch would transfer when Quinn said he was coming back. We knew better but people need those clicks.
