Chip Brown posted today that he can confirm if the SEC goes to 9 games that Texas’ permanent games will be against A&M, OU and Arkansas and that OU will get Texas, Florida and Mizzou. I’d like to believe him but who knows.

Of course it will be fun with new blood. I guess rookie is the 2024 term. This bull that it’s bad for certain teams is weak minded. Any teams used to playing top 5 ranked teams every year have no fear of ou or tx. Welcome to the sec boys.

Good point qit, no one is scared of these teams. Just another Saturday….

When it comes to college football journalism, no one is more consistently wrong (especially on big stories) than Chip Brown.

OU is going to be in the upper tier in the SEC. Them and UT have been recruiting like SEC programs. I’ve said this many times. The teams that this move affects the most are the middle of the pack programs mostly located in the west. It bumps them down a tier.

If I’m Arkansas Ole Miss State Kentucky Tennessee and A&M, I hate this. It really just helps the Programs like UGA Bama LSU Auburn and Florida. Gives them a schedule boost and helps them in recruiting.

38-23 beeyatch. And then there was the 9 overtime game where u corndogs got soaked for a loss. LSU appears to be the only team Jimbo can consistently beat so there's that. lol. Can't fix stupid.

My aunt and uncle lived in Prairieville for several years when I was in my teens. One of my favorite things was coming down in the fall and going to a LSU game and the tailgating scene. It's on a different level and maybe it's because I was younger, but I was never treated poorly when we went. In fact, it was just the opposite. I look forward to going back to watch OU and LSU play a game in Death Valley at night. LSU has a great campus. Looking forward to it for sure.

So what you are telling me is SEC stays at 8
Utx gets at least 1 of the 3
OU gets 1 of the 3 but not the other two

How folks pay good money to listen to Chimp is beyond me.

Actually we tied.

You were beat but used a tactic to tie.

Do you know what Bear Bryant said about ties?

Can you ever imagine Adolph Rupp or Bear Bryant doing what that Utx - autism coach did?

I think this breakdown is pretty good:

AL - AU OM TN
AR - OM MO TX
AU - AL GA MS
FL - GA LS SC
GA - AU FL SC
KY - SC TN VU
LS - FL MS TA
OM - AL AR MS
MS - AU LS OM
MO - AR OK VU
OK - MO TX TA
SC - FL GA KY
TN - AL KY VU
TX - AR OK TA
TA - LS OK TX
VU - KY MO TN

ALL rotational matchups will play very often.

Florida makes no sense there, especially for Florida, who should have Georgia, auburn, and either Tennessee or South Carolina. OU should have Mizzou, Texas, and Arkansas or A&M.

Then post a better SEC-wide 3-rivals chart.

AU-AL,-GA,-FL is too tough on AU. That's partly why it'll be AU-AL,-GA,-MS and LS-FL,-MS,-TA. Proximity is also an important factor for annual rivalries. An equitable and feasible SEC-wide solution that satisfies every fan's personal 3-rival preferences is impossible. And, many seem to ignore that ALL rotational matchups will play very often.

Are we speaking about the same Chip Brown who posted many years ago that there was zero chance that Texas Aggies were going to the SEC?
