Seriously, why is Texas so incredibly bad this year? At this point, I expect them to lose to cougar high this weekend.

Well, at least they won't lose to Cougar High in overtime.

We've been pretenders since Pierce walked in the door. Unfortunately it appears that, for most Texas fans, were reduced to being happy just getting there now.
We used to make fun of the Aggies for this. It's no longer funny.
He should have been fired after that embarrassing performance in the series last year. I'm starting to wonder if the university cares about baseball any longer

Bad post OP.

While I'm not a fan of tu you will be hard pressed to find a more historic program in college baseball.

They may be down now but I am sure that they will be back in the near future.

I look forward to the competition. SEC baseball is the most dominant league and it isn't even close.

Thank you for the legitimate answer. I like to make fun, but it is surprising just how bad Texas is right now. Did the players just quit on Pierce?

Jumping in is what I did

Or, because I’ve made you cry too many times on this site, are you denying the fact that I went to a school that you weren’t smart enough to attend?

You hear stories from so-called Insiders about players not liking him, he's stubborn, etc but I don't know what to believe. All I know is the product on the field is abysmal.
We're also lagging way behind programs like LSU when it comes to Nil funding for the baseball program which is why I doubt the university's commitment to baseball now. I'm hoping that joining a conference that cares about baseball will turn that around.

For some reason, A&M always seems to be really successful in sports in April and May of each year.
It really is adorable. Beating Texas on a Tuesday less than 20% into the season will be the closest thing any of the aggie posters on this site will ever come to seeing a championship in their entire miserable lives

Last time we will address this. If you actually went to Texas, you cannot be as stupid as you appear online. Just stop with the trolling and post honestly. As for myself, I was accepted to both Texas and A&M - wanted to be a veterinarian.

Forget it, you go on the ignore list. Too bad the Texas fans cannot police their own.

Sadly, got nothing to argue here. The hump is high. After our last CWS final we lost a lot. The rebuild hasn’t been the greatest, but with a slightly better rotation won’t be terrible. Maybe the best player to hit the diamond in Norman for the past 20 years, and I’m not kidding, was Kyler Murray. Saw him make several SC plays in the outfield. Out ran routine grounders against solid arms. Had the pop. If he chose MLB he’d be earning top dollar this season. Mookie2.0.

Murray was good at baseball. He should have taken that path, because he's simply too small for the NFL

I don't think Texas baseball will take long to catch up. Not sure that they will ever be dominant in the SEC, but nobody else is either. It's such a deep league.

If they find a good coach they will improve. However, they need a complete overhaul of their baseball facilities and stadium. I am sure it will be coming, but they really do need it.

As an Aggie, I had to give a sensible chuckle here. Sometimes I even wonder if ColoradoAg is really an Aggie. He is so caustic.

Yep. I'm what most of you would call a 2%er. I don't like the yell leaders, believe in hot women, and went to school at A&M because it is one of the best veterinarian schools in the country. I also took a commission with the Air Force and moved the hell away from Texas after school when it was determined that being a veterinarian wasn't going to be my calling in life.

Will never go back.

agree, we need significant upgrades. but I think Tennessee's recent success proves you don't need great baseball facilities to field competitive squads in the SEC.

Tennessee has a small park, but they are building a new one in order to keep Vitello
