The main question being asked by 80% of the recruits is:

How much NIL do I get? No schools anywhere are getting a hometown discount. There are no barriers for any school recruiting in any state.

I don't blame the recruits. When I was 17 I didn't have 2 dimes to rub together.

We are in full NFL development league mode.

And also comparing Kiffin and Elko is not very fair. Elko didn't start his coaching career on third base, he worked his way up.

Neither was Duke’s.

Elko promised Duke and Duke players he was returning as their coach when A&M was going a different direction. When that fell through and A&M called, Elko got his fat arse on a jet overnight to Texas and only notified the players was via a Zoom call.

You wanna talk about honor and integrity of coaches? Start within your own house and your coach.

Elko was just "coming home to mama". He is gonna be the Aggie HC for a long time.

Lamar Brown committed to LSU when aggy offered slightly more per your own Billy Luigi and his fat lil henchman Brawny. That's called a hometown discount.

Lol the intellectual dishonesty from 75U fans never ceases to amaze me. Comparing a meaningless bowl game to the playoffs...

Give the OP some slack. Aggie tears are flowing after that arse kicking from their hated rival. Previews of the upcoming playoff for those losers.

A bowl game at Duke is a pretty big deal. They've only been to 17 in their entire history.

I can think of at least three reasons;

2003

2007

2019

Two more come to mind as well but I think you get the point.

"20_ _ NCAA Division I Football Championship"

At this point, A&M has just under 75 years left before they'll have to update that plaque.

That is not a discount. How times have changed when LSU has to offer a Louisiana recruit $1 million per year to come play.

You reinforced my point, any school can go into any state and take top recruits if the school pays well enough.

If LSU were comprised 100% of LA kids, and they had a good coach, LSU would curb stomp Aggie 9 out of 10 years.

Aggie couldn't put together a good team beyond 8-4, even with a natty-winning coach, until paying players became legal. Nobody wanted to be cheered on by gay milkmen until the paycheck got so big they were willing to hold their nose long enough to reach the NFL.

LSU is a blast. Louisiana has a fullness and soul to it that cannot be replicated elsewhere. The football program produces elite talent but they enjoy the heck out of playing here.

I’ve been to more cities, states, and countries than you. Don’t push back, trust me I’ve been everywhere. Louisiana is great because it’s enjoyable, fun, great people, great food, fullness of living here. It’s called “joie de vivre” a state motto that tries to explain the phenomenon.

I’ve lived in Texas 3 times in my life, there is no way for you to understand it because Texans view their state as the greatest aspect of their live. I get it.

Louisiana is completely different, it is more enjoyable, and that’s something Texas can never take away.

It wasn't close to 1 million. And you admit, Lamar took a home town DISCOUNT over what you aggys were offering.

And yet, aggy could not go into LA and take Lamar by offering more money (who fat elmo wanted badly) or any others. LSU has regularly pillaged the state of TX for 20 years.
