Maybe they just play up to the better competition and play down to the lesser opponent.

Considering the teams that have beaten Clemson in the past, this could be correct.

That's a fair point and I hear ya. I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Odom either, our coach, but I'm not sure either if we could do much better.

When you're playing from behind the entire game and you have to throw the ball on every play the yards are going to pile up.

500 yards and 5 TD's looks really good, until you look at the final score

Bentley had 300 yards at halftime, and we were only down 7. We also scored first so I’m not sure what you’re talking about

These insipid comments from "aynonoumous coaches" come out every year. Most of it is complete BS IMO and without any type of context.

Remember when dabo marched the first string back out after Deebo gashed them again?

So that the first string was playing against your first string? Can't imagine why he would do that lol

But....500? I mean, a lot of teams have played from behind all game and not given up 500+ yards.

But, if his long windup makes him an easy target, why didn't Clemson stop him? I am genuinely curious.

It's a good question. A lot of ppl were questioning the secondary after that game, but they more than made up for it in the final 3 games of the season.

Not necessarily. You're saying at that point in the game, outcome already decided, that's it's ok for SCAR to leave in their first team guys and keep playing hard but it's not ok for Clemson

It obviously didn’t mean much I just find humor in the fact that dabo thought it was good enough to take the first string out but then had to send them right back in after a quick response

outcome already decided

Also we have differing definitions of this

there is another very likely reason for the yardage/td's. let's see here, last game of regular season, already going to acccg, all but guaranteed cfb play-off berth. do you honestly believe that our secondary gave maximum effort , every play, all game. I would put my money on just going through the motions for the duration of the game.

If you can’t get your players up for a night rivalry game (one that was senior night for a lot of them). You have a problem

the shite clemson fans tell themselves

It’s okay to get gashed for one game and say that your defensive staff used that to win a championship meaning the gamecocks helped clemson win another title

My god I have better trolls against us than you fricking losers. But continue on with your “oh we just didn’t care”. Hilarious stuff

They didn’t care, but kept their starters in until the game was over to run up the score

Didn’t care but Dabo rushing his players to get lined up under a minute left to get one more score in

I remember that seccg scar played in. you think they should have took our game as a little respite? sure couldn't have hurt them.

For five years the clemson game was a respite. But thanks
