Who’s saying we’re rolling over? There’s no point in jockeying for Florida when LSU or Ole Miss are on the table. Y’all were just bait for an extension. LSU is an actual threat.

Where does the narrative that LSU doesn’t have money come from?

All that corruption and oil money leads to some wealthy doners.

Same at Ole Miss but they keep it much more quiet

There is nothing Cajun about Kiffin and he’s seen them dismiss 3 coaches now in less than 10 years, including one that won a national title, am I right?

Any team in the SEC can make the playoffs now. That’s a massive future disadvantage to Florida, TAMU and Missouri. 15M a year goes twice as far in Oxford or Baton Rouge than it does in Gainsville, Columbia, or College Station. Texas would be in the same boat but they have the biggest budget for buying players so that outweighs the extra cost.

You are 100% right. It's not a good look for LSU.

Even with a potential 3rd coach firing soon, our total amount still is nowhere close to what A&M has paid, what LSU is about to pay, what Penn state just paid, etc etc etc

Boosters in the meeting said money is no problem

Question is whether they are willing to guarantee a significant contract again, which is what it'll take to get someone like Kiffin, or if they go with a cheaper option like Sumrall and focus more money on NIL knowing they can roll the dice more easily with a new coach in 3-4 years if needed.

Going to be hard to hire a coach that’s coaching in the playoffs and potentially making a run in said playoffs.

With what? Don't think there are any more charity hospitals you can shut down or federal grants to steal?

Tier list. Objectively

1. Florida

2. LSU

3. Ole Miss

(For perspective, my team)

4. MSU

Im good with that, dont get me wrong it wouldnt hate a Kiffin hire, but i am good going with a smaller school HC with promise or even a coordinator ready to move up.

It's kind of like Urban said. You don't have to go far to cover your recruiting base. You can be home for dinner. Don't think these older guys (and Kiffin ain't getting any younger) think about that.

In the modern college football world I honestly think that's the better model for most programs. Good coach with great talent trumps great coach with good talent. Go a little cheaper on the coach and dump it all into NIL.

If we lose Kiffin I hope we do that. Hire a coach for $6-7 mil and throw the extra $6 mil into NIL vs. Hiring a new coach for $12.

I love this term. Especially when people wave it around without any context. Or were you just trying to sneak a burn in here?
