The hypocrisy of tu has no bounds. They are the destroyers of conferences, yet the liberal dildo worshippers try desperately to deflect the facts. The fact is other teams left the conferences because they got tired of Texas’ insufferable arrogance. As being so aptly demonstrated by these posts.

Your AD had to ask the SEC for an invite. The SEC did not come looking for you. Donghorns had to swallow their pride a ask for an invitation for themselves and big brother. The invite was for both schools not just one.
As stated above, these are facts. When it was time to vote, A&M had a chance to think about it and decided that it would be fun to beat up on little sister and big brother again.

Bowtie whined about how Deloss's "we'll take good care of ya" quip was the turning point in A&M's thinking. He used that to claim UT was operating in "bad faith" instead of being truthful about the fact that A&M (a) always wanted the SEC and (b) was sick of losing to Texas.
Longhorn Network was often mentioned as well, as if A&M would reject ESPN's bucket of money and its own network.
The truth of the matter is the Big 12 was built on sand and was never going to last in its original form. Nebraska always wanted B1G, Colorado always wanted PAC, Texas A&M always wanted SEC, and Texas flirted with everyone.
But the narrative that Texas killed the Big 12 is pure fantasy.

What is y'all's deal with this star wars poster? Did he frick your wife or something? Earlier today y'all were accusing some vandy fan of being them, too

And "again"? You do realize that a&m has a losing record against Texas in just about every sport the two schools participate in, right?

Nebraska: 1-9 against Texas in the Big 12
Colorado: 2-9 against Texas in the Big 12
Missouri: 2-7 against Texas in the Big 12
Texas a&m: 5-11 against Texas in the Big 12
I'd be tired of Texas too if my team was this bad against the longhorns

So they ran to conferences where schools like USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama resided.
That makes sense.

Exactly - you just proved it wasn’t about wins and losses

The claim was that the 4 schools left due to our insufferable arrogance. But they all left for conference being run by schools that were at least as arrogant as Texas. So how do you square that? The only difference is that those other schools hadn't completely dominated the defectors for the previous 16 years.
But I actually agree with you. They didn't leave because of our arrogance, they left because they always wanted to be in those conferences. They used Texas's arrogance as a convenient excuse.
If we're hell bent on assigning blame, Nebraska is really the one that "killed" the Big 12. They wouldn't have left if their 1-9 record vs. Texas was reversed.
After Nebraska left, all bets were off. It was no one school's responsibility to save the Big 12. Even though we did.

Maybe anyone can see it but no one seems to be able to explain it.
Easy, Texas ego doesnt match performance on the field and schools get tired of the overblown sense of self worth that Texas has. That sense of entitlement despite no tangible support for it causes schools to look elsewhere when Texas begins to demand more than those that actually drive a conference and the conference collapses because Texas can’t support a conference on its own and they would die as an independent.
Fortunately in the SEC, Texas is just a support member with no one taking them nor their unjustifiable sense of self importance seriously.

This doesn't hold water. The schools that whine about Texas all left in 2010/2011. The previous decade, Texas had won at least 10 games 9 time in a row and went to title games in 2005 and 2009.

Oh.. so thats why there have been no big 12 national champions since we left.
Makes sense, you're right. The league is soooo much stronger.
